Co-Occurring Disorders a. Contractor will continue participation as a Change Agent and will attend and participate in all of the activities to effect the changes necessary to maintain and enhance Co-occurring Disorders (COD) treatment capability.
Co-Occurring Disorders. For clients who have co-occurring disorders (have a significant mental health disorder co-occurring with a substance use disorder), screening is required (see Section 7.2) in addition to coordination of services with Placer County Mental Health (Adult System of Care/ASOC) staff or other psychiatric or mental health support as necessary. Programs will address the specific needs of this population. Specialized treatment issues include specific screening techniques, ability to address both issues in the treatment plan, coordination with other services as appropriate, accommodation of the mental health disability as appropriate, style of interventions and use of group and individual counseling sessions.
