Counseling Sessions. Counseling sessions between supervisors and employees may be scheduled periodically. During these sessions, an open dialogue should occur which allows the exchange of performance oriented information. The employee should be informed of how he or she has performed to date. In the case of derogatory comments, the employee should be informed of the steps necessary to improve performance to the desired level. Counseling sessions should include, but not be limited to, the following: job responsibilities, performance of duties, and attendance. A memorandum for record will be prepared following each counseling session and maintained by the supervisor.
Counseling Sessions. 1. College personnel will provide the high school Principal and counselors with necessary information concerning the dual enrollment course(s) for scheduling and registration of students.
Counseling Sessions. The maximum number of counseling sessions per Eligible Employee per one-year Term of the Agreement is three (3) per type of incident. Any counseling session provided under this Agreement for Eligible Employee’s Immediate Family shall count toward the number of counseling sessions to be provided to Eligible Employee under this Agreement. The Type of Incident is defined by the primary stressor creating the need for counseling, as follows: Relationship problems within the Immediate Family, including but not limited to, marital or domestic problems, separation or divorce, relationship issues between spouses or domestic partners, parents and children, or siblings. Health-related problems such as physical or mental illness or substance abuse of the Eligible Employee or the Immediate Family member or death of a loved one; Job-related problems; All other stressors. Counseling sessions are for the purpose of assessment, short term counseling, and/or referral. The sessions are not for long term treatment. A counseling session is up to 50 minutes in length. Depending upon counselor availability and Client consent, a counseling session may be extended in length past 50 minutes and treated as multiple sessions (in increments of up to 50 minutes) that will each count toward the number of counseling sessions to be provided within the one-year term of this Agreement. Any scheduled counseling session that a Client misses without notice to FIT and the EAP Counselor of cancellation at least 24 hours in advance will be assessed counted as a counseling sessions to be provided to Eligible Employee under this Agreement or as an additional counseling session charged to the Eligible Employee if the basic service number is exceeded. The basic services that are not utilized during the one- year Term are forfeited without refund and do not carry over into the next one-year Term unless FIT, in its sole discretion, makes a written exception to this rule. Supervisory Referrals include up to three (3) hours per Referral including consultation with the Employer &/or supervisor, one session with the employee, and reporting back as appropriate to the Employer. NOTE: a supervisory referral specifically for a “substance abuse assessment” is not included as a free supervisory referral. Conflict Resolution Counseling. Conflict Resolution Counseling shall mean a group session for two or more Eligible Employees referred to EAP by Employer for the purposes of addressing issues causing conflict in ...
Counseling Sessions. Any employee determined to be improperly performing some facet of his/her duties and/or responsibilities may be counseled by his/her superior(s). This session shall indicate to the employee exactly what is not acceptable, why such action is not acceptable, and exactly what action is acceptable. Such sessions shall be documented and signed by both parties (Employee and Command). Any employee who has been counseled is entitled to a copy of the signed documentation upon request and may respond in writing if he/she disagrees with the counseling report. Counseling sessions shall primarily be used as a basis for job evaluations and/or successful completion of a probationary period. Such sessions shall be used to advise, suggest and recommend and shall not be considered as a form of disciplinary action effecting any employee’s personnel work record.

While counseling is not a form of discipline, evidence of counseling can be utilized as part of the disciplinary process.
Counseling Sessions. A face-to-face clinical session of at least 45 minutes in duration with a contracted EAP provider. Each member is entitled, annually, to the number of counseling sessions per problem as set forth herein in the Service and Fee Schedule (e.g., three counseling sessions per member per problem under the 3-Session EAP Model).
Counseling Sessions. (1) All employee counseling sessions will be conducted by the Evaluating Supervisor.
(2) A counseling session is the most important technique in the program of positive motivation of an employee. It must be conducted with a sincere attitude with an aim toward solving a problem in an amiable fashion. When the requirement of counseling is indicated, the Evaluating Supervisor in addition to notifying the employee will also notify the appropriate Union representative involved of the time and place so they may send a representative if they so desire or if requested by the employee. Appropriate notes of the counseling session will be prepared and forwarded to the Personnel Department, with a copy to the employee, for including in the employee's personnel file.
Counseling Sessions. In order to assess the professional effectiveness of the Contract Counseling Faculty unit member, the Level One Tenure Review Committee members shall insure that three (3) separate observation visits of counseling sessions occur during each contract Academic Year.
Counseling Sessions. Counseling sessions may be used by a supervisor to communicate his or her observations and expectations regarding an employee’s performance or conduct. A counseling session may be verbal, written, or both. A counseling session is not considered a disciplinary action.
Counseling Sessions. The District will pay for a maximum of five (5) counseling sessions per employee each fiscal year. This is intended to provide the employee with effective intervention and assessment at no cost to the employee. If the employee and counselor decide to continue a therapeutic relationship beyond the five sessions, the cost is the employee’s responsibility. The District group medical insurance program may pay some or all of these additional costs.
