Colorectal Cancer Screenings. The Plan provides Benefits for colorectal cancer screenings for asymptomatic Members who are: a. At average risk for colorectal cancer or b. At high risk for colorectal. For purposes of this section, “Colorectal Cancer Screening” means all colorectal cancer examinations and FDA-approved laboratory tests recommended by a Provider in accordance with the most recently published nationally recognized evidence based clinical guidelines. If a colonoscopy is recommended as the colorectal cancer screening method and a lesion is discovered and removed during the colonoscopy, Benefits will be paid for the screening colonoscopy as the primary procedure. See section 2.I for information about free preventive services as defined in federal law. Preventive colonoscopies without cost-sharing are only eligible for Members who meet the specific guidelines under the USPSTF. See section 4.B.62 Preventive Care for further information on preventive services. Colorectal cancer evaluations for asymptomatic screenings may be considered preventive (age dependent), but colorectal cancer evaluations due to symptoms or suspected disease are considered diagnostic and are subject to routine plan cost- sharing.
Colorectal Cancer Screenings. Grantee will work with identified health system/clinic to implement at least two of the following evidence-based interventions related to increasing colorectal cancer screenings among adults aged 50 to 75. Grantee shall utilize:

  • Screening 3.13.1 Refuse containers located outside the building shall be fully screened from adjacent properties and from streets by means of opaque fencing or masonry walls with suitable landscaping.

  • Tuberculosis Examination The examination shall consist of an approved intradermal tuberculosis test, which, if positive, shall be followed by an X-ray of the lungs. Nothing in Sections 5163 to 5163.2, inclusive, shall prevent the governing body of any city or county, upon recommendation of the local health officer, from establishing a rule requiring a more extensive or more frequent examination than required by Section 5163 and this section. § 5163.2.   • Hepatitis B Vaccine Where the Hospital identifies high risk areas where employees are exposed to Hepatitis B, the Hospital will provide, at no cost to the employees, a Hepatitis B vaccine.

  • Biological Samples If so specified in the Protocol, Institution and Principal Investigator may collect and provide to Sponsor or its designee Biological Samples (“Biological Samples”). 12.2.

  • Human Leukocyte Antigen Testing This plan covers human leukocyte antigen testing for A, B, and DR antigens once per member per lifetime to establish a member’s bone marrow transplantation donor suitability in accordance with R.I. General Law §27-20-36. The testing must be performed in a facility that is: • accredited by the American Association of Blood Banks or its successors; and • licensed under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act as it may be amended from time to time. At the time of testing, the person being tested must complete and sign an informed consent form that also authorizes the results of the test to be used for participation in the National Marrow Donor program.
