Compassionate Grant. 3.22.1 A compassionate grant is payable to the estate of a teacher who: (i) dies while employed in the state teaching service; or (ii) dies within 12 months of the date of approved medical retirement under clause 2.9. For clarity, this date is from the date of retirement and excludes any notice period or period for which payment is made.
