Market Allowance. A recruitment or retention allowance may be paid on an annual or ongoing basis to reflect difficulty in recruiting or retaining specific skills and/or experience for any specified position. This allowance may, but should not necessarily as a matter of course, be abated by salary increases, including incremental progression and promotion.
