Compensation for an Employee Working Out of Classification. 14.9.1 An employee shall not be required to perform duties not a part of his or her classification except as provided in this Article. 14.9.2 An employee assigned duties not a part of his or her classification shall have his or her salary adjusted upward for the entire period he or she is required to work out of classification. 14.9.3 If assigned to duties normally performed by employees in a higher classification, the employee shall receive the regular rate of pay for that higher classification at the step on which he or she is assigned in his or her regular classification.
