Compensation for Statutory Holidays. Part-time Employees (a) When a regularly scheduled day of work for a part-time employee falls on a statutory holiday referred to in paragraph 20.01 (a) and the employee is required to work, the employee shall be paid at one and one-half (1 ½) times his/her regular wage, plus public holiday pay in accordance with Ontario’s Employment Standards Act. (b) When a regularly scheduled day of work for a part-time employee falls on a statutory holiday referred to in paragraph 20.01 (a) and the employee is not required to work, or when the holiday occurs on a non-working day for the employee, the employee shall receive public holiday pay in accordance with Ontario’s Employment Standards Act.
