Compensation To Be Paid Veterans Returning. As Proba- tionary Employees. Probationary Employees who have been in the armed services of the United States, under military leave from the City of Flint and subject to limitations provided by law, shall be required to complete their probationary period the same as though they had not been in the armed services, and shall be subject to the same rules and regulations as ordinary proba- tioners. They shall, however, upon completion of their proba- tionary period, and upon acquiring the status of regular Employees, be given credit for the purpose of compensation and step increases for the time served in said armed services as provided in the foregoing section, effective, however, as of the date they acquire status as regular Employees, and not as of the date of reinstatement as probationary Employees.
