Component I Pregnancy Leave. Employees who have given birth to a child are entitled to seventeen (17) consecutive weeks of pregnancy leave without pay. Further pregnancy leave without pay, of up to six (6) consecutive weeks, will be granted where the employee is unable to return to work for reasons related to the birth, as certified by a medical practitioner.
