Computation of Seniority after Uninterrupted Service. In the event an employee with more than one (1) year Company seniority is laid off or transferred to a position within the Company not covered by this Agreement:: Continuity of service for the purpose of Company seniority shall be considered unbroken if they return to the status of an employee within twelve (12) months, or, If they return to the status of an employee after twelve (12) months have elapsed, their Company seniority upon their return may be that which they had on the effective date of such layoff or transfer.
