Conference and Convention Leaves. In proven emergency circumstances and, upon advance notice to the Superintendent of no less than one (1) week, leaves of absence, without pay, for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days will be granted to the extent allowable by law to employees to attend Union conferences and conventions, provided it is for at least a full day, and no more than three (3) employees are off at one time.
