Conference Leave definition

Conference Leave. Any member may make application to the building principal to attend any conference or convention which the member feels will enhance his/her professional skills. Upon approval of the principal or Superintendent, the Board will allow the released time, and will provide for a substitute teacher (if necessary) and in addition, the Board will pay for mileage (at the IRS rate in effect on August 1 of any year for the forthcoming school year), parking fees, registration fees, and overnight lodging. Overnight lodging will be limited to fifty dollars ($50)/person up to one hundred dollars ($100)/per room.

Examples of Conference Leave in a sentence

  • Conference Leave may only be taken once between September 1 and the following August 31.

  • Requests for School Conference Leave shall be made in writing at least seven (7) calendar days in advance to the Supervisor, except in the event of an emergency.

  • Subject to the approval of the person designated by the Department, School or Faculty where the employee works, and supported by a copy of the invitation to make a presentation as part of an academic conference relevant to the employee’s discipline, an employee shall be granted Conference Leave with pay not to exceed five (5) consecutive days.

  • Educational conference leave expenditures will be charged to the BPDC Educational Conference Leave budget, but may not exceed $600 per teacher every two years.

  • Teachers are encouraged to engage in personal professional development activities in accordance with Article 10.16, Conference Leave, and funding for such activities shall be provided as prescribed under Article 10.16.

  • Subject to the approval of the person designated by the Faculty or Department where the Employee works, and supported by a copy of the invitation to participate at an academic conference relevant to the Employee's discipline, an Employee shall be granted Academic Conference Leave with pay up to once per Academic Term, but normally no more than ten (10) calendar days between September 1 and the following August 31, and normally no more than five (5) calendar days per request.

  • Leaves covered under Section 8.7, Professional Conference Leave, can satisfy self-assigned flex day requirements if they are in accordance with the activities listed in Section 9.3.D and are not within assigned working hours.

  • In order to be eligible for reimbursement under this section, the teacher must complete a Conference Leave Request Form and have it approved by the administration in advance of the conference or workshop.

  • Garden Leave means any period during which the Company has exercised its rights under clause 22;

  • Attendee or “Participant” means persons attending or participating in the Program as (i) a presenter, speaker, trainer, or student, (ii) the Judicial Council’s staff, and/or (iii) the guests of any of the persons listed previously.

  • Military caregiver leave means leave taken to care for a covered servicemember with a serious injury or illness.

  • Conferencing Services In lieu of any other rates and discounts, the Customer will receive a discount equal to 30% for the following Conferencing Services: US Dial Out International Audio Conferencing. The current standard rates in the Guide (which includes both transport and bridging) for domestically bridged International Dial-Out Audio Conferencing, International Audio Conferencing (dial out from a US bridge).

  • Public Holidays means public holidays under NI Act., at the place where the Equipment is located, when banks are closed for business.

  • Video means the delivery of behavioral health services

  • Telephone Toll Service is As Defined in the Act.
