Conferences, Conventions or Seminars. The following regulations shall apply to all claims for reimbursement of expenses for attending meetings, conventions, conferences, or seminars on behalf of the EMPLOYER. A. Attendance at a meeting, convention, conference or seminar outside the State of Michigan shall have the prior approval of the appropriate committee of the Board of Commissioners. B. Travel by private automobile shall be reimbursed at the rate as provided in Section 2 above. C. If transportation is by an EMPLOYER-owned vehicle, no mileage shall be allowed. Actual expenses of operation of said vehicle will be paid by the EMPLOYER upon tender of receipts for same. D. If travel is by common carrier, tourist fares will be reimbursed if receipts have been retained and submitted with an Expense Voucher. X. Xxxxxxxxxxxxx for meals will follow the policy and rate adopted by the Board of Commissioners. F. When a member of an employee's family, i.e. wife, husband, son or daughter, shares the hotel or motel room, the single occupancy rate will be reimbursed if receipts have been retained and submitted with an Expense Voucher. X. Xxxxx, telephone and telegraph expenses will be reimbursed when it is necessary as a part of the trip on behalf of the EMPLOYER. H. Parking fees during the conference, convention, seminar or meeting will be reimbursed if receipts are retained and submitted with an Expense Voucher. I. Expense Vouchers shall be submitted for the next regular Board of Commissioners meeting following the convention, conference, seminar or meeting attended by the employee. X. The following items will not be reimbursed under any circumstances. 1) Travel insurance; 2) Laundry or dry cleaning; or 3) Hospitality or entertainment expense. K. Taxi fare is reimbursable only if the trip was made by common carrier.

Conferences, Conventions or Seminars. The following regulations shall apply to all claims for reimbursement of expenses for attending meetings, conventions, conferences, or seminars on behalf of the County: A. Attendance at a meeting, convention, conference or seminar outside the State of Michigan shall have the prior approval of the appropriate committee of the Board of Commissioners. B. Travel by private automobile shall be reimbursed at no less than the Internal Revenue Service standard mileage rate of the first fifteen thousand (15,000) miles, for the simplified method of computing deductible costs in operating passenger automobiles for business purposes for employees. C. If transportation is by a County-owned vehicle, no mileage shall be allowed. Actual expenses of operation of said vehicle will be paid by the County upon tender of the receipts. D. If travel is by common carrier, tourist fares will be reimbursed if receipts have been retained and submitted with an Expense Voucher. E. Reimbursement for meals will be allowed while to and from and at the place of any meeting, conference, seminar or convention at the County's current established rate. F. When a member of the employee's family, i.e. wife, husband, son, or daughter, shares the hotel or motel room, the single occupancy rate will be reimbursed, if receipts have been retained and submitted with an Expense Voucher.   • Conferences At the request of the State or the Engineer, conferences shall be provided at the Engineer's office, the office of the State, or at other locations designated by the State. These conferences shall also include evaluation of the Engineer's services and work when requested by the State.

  • Conferences and Meetings Attend meetings with Contractor, such as preconstruction conferences, progress meetings, job conferences and other project-related meetings, and prepare and circulate copies of minutes thereof.

  • PRE-JOB CONFERENCE a) The Employer shall notify the union that a project has been awarded to the Employer following the award.   • Professional Conferences Professional conferences are those conferences sponsored by educational organizations, institutions of higher learning, and government and industry concerning teaching, learning and educational research. When a full-time or part-time faculty member’s attendance at a professional conference conflicts with his/her regular assignment, the faculty member must submit a request for attendance to the appropriate Xxxx, Director, or Supervisor. If granted, the attendance at the conference will be considered leave with pay, and a follow-up report of the conference shall be submitted to the appropriate Supervisor.

  • Conference Attendance The Federation will be entitled to five (5) person days per year release time for designated Federation representatives to attend conferences. All conference expenses will be the responsibility of the Federation, unless funding is requested and approved through regular District processes for conference attendance.

  • Conference Telephone Meetings Directors or members of any committee of the Board may participate in a meeting of the Board or such committee by means of conference telephone or similar communications equipment by means of which all persons participating in the meeting can hear each other, and such participation in a meeting shall constitute presence in person at such meeting.

  • Parent-Teacher Conferences A. Unit member shall be available at mutually arranged times during the regular school day to confer with parents regarding learning difficulties, student progress and/or behavioral problems a student may be experiencing. Unit members are encouraged to arrange a meeting or conference with parents before or after the regular school day if both time and place are mutually agreeable. B. In the event that a bargaining unit member does not communicate with a parent on the established date for parent unit member conferences as per the calendar adopted by the Board, a reasonable attempt to contact that parent will be made. A reasonable attempt constitutes a phone call or email. If that contact is not returned, the bargaining unit member shall not be obligated to make further contact.

  • SPECIAL CONFERENCES Special conferences for important matters may be arranged between the Union and the designated representative of the Board upon the request of either party.
