Continuous Operation Premium Clause Samples

The Continuous Operation Premium clause establishes an additional payment or fee that is charged when a facility, equipment, or service is required to operate continuously beyond standard or agreed-upon hours. In practice, this clause applies when a client requests uninterrupted use of resources, such as keeping a construction site running 24/7 or maintaining machinery without scheduled downtime, and the provider incurs extra costs for labor, utilities, or maintenance. Its core function is to compensate the service provider for the increased expenses and operational demands associated with continuous operation, ensuring that the financial impact of extended use is fairly allocated.
Continuous Operation Premium. Employees who are employed on a continuous 20 or 21 shifts per week schedule will receive thirty-five (35) cents per hour for all hours worked while on that schedule. This premium will be paid in addition to the hourly rate and will be applied in like manner to that of the Night Shift Differential.
