Convocation Week. Convocation Week shall have no more than two days designated for all College, Campus, and Departmental meetings and events. The remaining days will be designated as “Instructional Preparation Days,” providing faculty the opportunity to prepare for classes. Section II - Overload Overload assignments will be made to meet student and instruction need by mutual agreement between the appropriate administrators and faculty. A faculty member whose total workload units in a 16-week period exceed 24 requires permission from the appropriate instructional xxxx. Faculty members who meet their base teaching load at 30 WLUs per academic year shall not be required to accept additional class assignments that place them over 31 WLUs. A faculty member shall not be required to teach a sixth course in any given term to fulfill base load.

  • Work Week The work week will begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 11:59 p.m. the following Saturday.

The attending physician’s statement shall be submitted to the District concerning the medical circumstances that require the leave. Employees may access their earned sick leave during parenting leave up to twelve (12) weeks or the time specified by their physician. Leaves to care for children in excess of twelve (12) weeks that are not medically necessary may qualify as personal leaves of absence.

  • Public Holidays falling within Annual Leave (a) If a Public Holiday, as prescribed in this Agreement, falls within an Employee’s Annual Leave the Public Holiday does not constitute part of the Employee’s Annual Leave and will be paid as ordinary hours.

  • Scheduled RDOs on Designated Long Weekends It is recognised that there is merit in programming no work on the RDOs adjacent to public holiday weekends during the working year. This will allow Employees to have quality paid family leisure time.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday. (b) When the employee is scheduled off on a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to schedule the employee off the paid holiday. (c) In the event of a scheduling conflict, 12.07 (a) will be the deciding provision.

  • Trial Period Other than certain benefits prescribed by law, the Employee will not be eligible for Benefits, Vacation Time, or Personal Leave until after the first days of employment (“Trial Period”). In addition, the Employee will not be eligible vacation time, sick leave, or any time off that would be paid or unpaid.
