CORRECTIONS OFFICER. A Lateral shall be defined as any new lateral hire who has not less than twelve (12) consecutive months of full time, compensated Corrections experience, who successfully completed a probationary period from a recognized law enforcement entity and who has successfully completed a course of Basic Corrections Academy Training, or equivalent, from the Washington State Criminal Justice training Commission, or from another local, State or Federal Law Enforcement Training program recognized by the WSCJTC, and who has not been separated from full time Corrections employment for a period of time greater than twenty-four (24) months at the time of application to the Sheriff’s Office. Applicants who otherwise meet the definition of Lateral Hire above, but have been separated from full time Corrections employment for a period of time greater than twenty-four (24) months at the time of application, may be considered as long as they have maintained a higher level of certification and employment in a law enforcement position, such as Certified Peace Officer, within the twenty-four (24) months prior to application as a lateral for Corrections Officer. Applicants who otherwise meet the definition of Lateral Hire, but who do not have training or certification recognized by the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission cannot be considered a lateral hire.

CORRECTIONS OFFICER. Corrections Officers who are eligible for and retire under the provisions of the Macomb County Employees' Retirement Ordinance, and this Agreement, shall receive: 1. A straight life retirement allowance consisting of: a. An employee pension which shall be the actuarial equivalent of the accumulated contributions standing to the employee's credit in his/her savings fund at the time of retirement; and b. A County pension which when added to the employee's pension will provide a retirement allowance equal to the number of years and fraction of a year of credited service multiplied by the sum of 2.40% of the employee's final average compensation for the first twenty-six (26) years and one percent (1%) for each year thereafter. In no case shall the employee's County pension exceed 66% of the employee's final average compensation. c. Effective January 1, 2008, in no case shall the Straight Life pension benefit for a bargaining unit member under this contract exceed 100% of the employee's base salary at the time of retirement. Such limitation shall be applied to a bargaining unit member's straight life benefit calculation prior to an applicable actuarial adjustment, if any, for the member's selection of an optional form of benefit or the annuity withdrawal option and shall also apply to the member's DROP benefit. 2. Employees in the classification of Corrections Officer shall contribute four percent (4%) of their compensation to the retirement system. 3. The final average compensation used for calculating pension benefits for Corrections Officers shall be based on the average of an employee's three (3) highest consecutive years of compensation out of the last ten (10) years of service. 4. Upon written application, an employee in the classification of Corrections Officer may apply for voluntary retirement after completing twenty-five (25) years of service regardless of age or upon completing eight (8) years of service and attaining age sixty (60). Said application shall set forth at what time, not less than thirty (30) days nor more than ninety (90) days subsequent to the execution and filing thereof, that he/she desires to be retired. Upon his/her retirement he/she shall receive a retirement allowance as provided in Section 22 of the Macomb County Employees' Retirement Ordinance and the provisions of this Article.

  • PROJECT OFFICER The performance of the Contractor is subject to the review and approval of the County Project Officer, who will be appointed by the Director of the Arlington County department or agency requesting the Work under this Contract.

  • EEO Officer The contractor will designate and make known to the contracting officers an EEO Officer who will have the responsibility for and must be capable of effectively administering and promoting an active EEO program and who must be assigned adequate authority and responsibility to do so.

  • Field Training Officer When a Public Safety Officer has been designated as a Field Training Officer for a new employee he/she will receive a five percent (5%) increase for all the hours they provide direct training/instruction.

  • CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER AND CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER CERTIFICATION The undersigned Chief Executive Officer and Chief Fiscal Officer of the Recipient, as both are designated in Appendix B of the Agreement, hereby request the Director to disburse financial assistance moneys made available to Project in Appendix C of the Agreement (inclusive of any amendment thereto) to the payee as identified below in the amount so indicated which amount equals the product of the Disbursement Ratio and the dollar value of the attached cost documentation which was properly billed to the Recipient in exclusive connection with the performance of the Project. The undersigned further certify that:

  • President and Chief Executive Officer The president shall be the chief executive officer of the Trust, unless the Board of Trustees designates the chairman as chief executive officer. The chief executive officer shall see that all orders and resolutions of the Board of Trustees are carried into effect. The chief executive officer shall also be the chief administrative officer of the Trust and shall perform such other duties and have such other powers as the Board of Trustees may from time to time prescribe.

  • OFFICER AND CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER CERTIFICATION Pursuant to Section 6(b) and 6(c) of the Agreement, the undersigned Chief Executive Officer and Chief Fiscal Officer of the Recipient, as both are designated in Appendix B of the Agreement, hereby request the Director to disburse financial assistance moneys made available to Project in Appendix C of the Agreement (inclusive of any amendment thereto) to the payee as identified below in the amount so indicated which amount equals the product of the Disbursement Ratio and the dollar value of the attached cost documentation which was properly billed to the Recipient in exclusive connection with the performance of the Project, or, in the case of a final disbursement request, the amount entered at Line V of this Appendix E. The undersigned further certify that:

  • Chief Operating Officer The Chief Operating Officer shall be responsible for managing the day to day operations of the Company and shall see to it that all orders of the Chief Executive Officer are carried into effect.

  • Hearing Officer The Hearing Officer shall be jointly selected by the parties within thirty (30) days of the execution of this contract and shall serve for a minimum of one (1) year from the date of selection. At that time the parties may choose to re-appoint the Hearing Officer or select a different Hearing Officer who will also serve for a minimum of one (1) year from date of selection.

  • Compliance Officer Within 90 days after the Effective Date, Progenity shall appoint a Compliance Officer and shall maintain a Compliance Officer for the term of the CIA. The Compliance Officer shall be an employee and a member of senior management of Progenity, shall report directly to the Chief Executive Officer or the President of Progenity, and shall not be, or be subordinate to, the General Counsel or Chief Financial Officer or have any responsibilities that involve acting in any capacity as legal counsel or supervising legal counsel functions for Progenity. The Compliance Officer shall be responsible for, without limitation: a. developing and implementing policies, procedures, and practices designed to ensure compliance with the requirements set forth in this CIA and with Federal health care program requirements; b. making periodic (at least quarterly) reports regarding compliance matters in person to the Board of Directors of Progenity (Board) and shall be authorized to report on such matters to the Board at any time. Written documentation of the Compliance Officer’s reports to the Board shall be made available to OIG upon request; and c. monitoring the day-to-day compliance activities engaged in by Progenity as well as any reporting obligations created under this CIA. Any noncompliance job responsibilities of the Compliance Officer shall be limited and must not interfere with the Compliance Officer’s ability to perform the duties outlined in this CIA. Progenity shall report to OIG, in writing, any changes in the identity of the Compliance Officer, or any actions or changes that would affect the Compliance Officer’s ability to perform the duties necessary to meet the obligations in this CIA, within five business days after such a change.

  • Contracting Officer The person authorized to administer and make written determinations for the Commonwealth with respect to the Prime Contract. Department – The Department of General Services of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Issuing Office – The department, board, commission or other agency of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania that issued the Procurement. Procurement – The Invitation for Bids, Request for Quotes, Request for Proposals or other solicitation and all associated final procurement documentation issued by the Commonwealth to obtain proposals from firms for award of the Prime Contract.
