Common use of Court Appearance/Jury Duty Clause in Contracts

Court Appearance/Jury Duty. A. In case of absence from duty in response to subpoena for a case in court or an administrative hearing, the amount of any witness fee or other compensation, exclusive of any reimbursement paid specifically for expenses incurred by reason of such subpoena, shall be submitted to the Board. Members receiving notices of jury duty shall be granted a leave of absence without loss of pay or benefits for the duration of the leave. The compensation received as a juror, less travel expenses, shall be submitted to the Board.
