Data Recovery Plan. ODOT will incorporate the information from the geophysical survey and Phase I efforts into a research design for data recovery efforts within the project footprint (data recovery plan). The data recovery plan will describe the scientific excavation of archaeological materials within the APE including the method of excavation of archaeological features, collection of samples for further study, and the analysis of archaeological materials. The Data Recovery Plan will be consistent with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties, the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards and Guidelines for Archaeological and Historic Preservations, and the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation’s Treatment of Archaeological Properties: A Handbook. The data recovery plan and geophysical studies report will be submitted to the signatories of this MOA for 30-day review and comment, at which time ODOT will incorporate comments and recommendations and initiate data recovery efforts.

Data Recovery Plan. Following implementation of the research design specified above, the STB will develop, and Contractor will draft, a Data Recovery Plan and incorporate it into the Treatment Plan(s). The Data Recovery Plan shall be consistent with the Secretary’s Standards for Archaeological Documentation (48 Fed. Reg. 44734-37) and will take into account the ACHP’s publications, including Treatment of Archaeological Properties: A Handbook, and The ACHP’s Section 106 Archaeology Guidance (xxxx://xxx.xxxx.xxx/archguide). Data Recovery Plan. Each of the Parties shall maintain a Data Recovery Plan as it relates to all Data it contributes to the Collaborative Environment. In the event any Party becomes aware of any loss of or anomaly in Data, such Party shall promptly notify the other Parties of such loss or anomaly and, to the extent known, of the effects on the ability of those Parties to perform under this Agreement and the Underlying Agreement.
