Decisions on Renewal, Promotion or Tenure. 9.04.1 The President shall communicate to the Employee, the CAPT, and the Department Chair, the University's decision within thirty (30) Days after the receipt of the recommendation of the committee.

Decisions on Renewal, Promotion or Tenure. The President shall communicate his/her decision on the renewal of appointment, promotion or tenure in writing to the Candidate and the appropriate Department Chairperson and Xxxx within fifteen (15) days of receiving the recommendation of the University Review Committee, unless prevented from doing so by absence from the campus or illness.
Decisions on Renewal, Promotion or Tenure. The President shall communicate decision on the renewal of appointment, promotion or tenure in writing to the Candidate and the appropriate Department Chairperson and Xxxx within fifteen (1 5) days of receiving the recommendation of the University Review Committee, unless prevented from doing so by absence from the campus or illness. If the final decision on tenure is that it be denied, the Candidate shall be offered a one year terminal contract. If the decision on tenure is to be deferred (see above), an extension of the existing probationary appointment shall, if necessary, be granted to the Candidate. If the decision has been delayed because of an arbitration hearing, an extension of the existing probationary appointment shall, if necessary, be granted to the candidate to provide at least one full calendar year of employment, or salary in lieu thereof, following the final decision of the Arbitration Board. This period of employment may be extended at the employer's option to allow the Candidate to complete any current teaching assignments. The Employer's decisions respecting renewal of appointment, promotion and tenure shall be in accordance with Article I and the following schedule: Renewal of Appointment: no later than January of the Academic Year during which the appointment terminates. Promotion: no later than May I of the Academic Year preceding the possible date of promotion. Tenure: no later than June of the Academic Year preceding the year during which the appointment terminates. Notwithstanding the schedule above the President shall be allowed no fewer than ten (10) days to render a decision once he receives a recommendation and documentation from the University Review Committee.
