Common use of Defer Terminal Sick Leave Payment Clause in Contracts

Defer Terminal Sick Leave Payment. Any employee shall have the option to request delay of payment for sick leave days as terminal pay by notifying the Payroll Department in writing prior to the last scheduled workday of employment. For employees not being offered employment for the following school year, such days shall remain available for transfer as per §.1012.61, Florida Statutes with the employee being responsible to provide any required documentation prior to the first scheduled work day of the new school year. Terminal pay will be processed immediately if such notification is not received by the first scheduled work day of the new school year.
