Additional Sick Leave the provisions of this subclause shall only apply to Permanent and Temporary Employees employed on teaching conditions. (i) The maximum grant of additional sick leave during the first two years of service is fifteen days. (ii) Additional sick leave provided under this subclause is available at any stage during the Employee’s first two years of service but shall only be granted in circumstances where: (1) there is no current concern regarding the Employee’s use of sick leave as contained in subclause 35.5.1; and (2) all sick leave entitlements as contained in subclause 35.5.1 have been exhausted.
Additional Sick Leave. 1. After the accumulated sick leave has been used the employee will receive no pay for additional working days if absent because of illness, quarantine, or disability. Deduction shall be made from his/her salary in an amount equal to his/her annual salary divided by the number of actual working days in the employee’s year. 2. If the absence is continuous for more than ten consecutive working days after his/her accumulated sick leave has been used, the employee may request additional sick leave which will be granted beginning with the eleventh consecutive working day of absence. Full pay will be made from the eleventh working day until and including the sixtieth calendar day of the absence. 3. If an employee, who has received benefits under the additional benefits as described returns to work and then is absent again for illness, quarantine or disability, an additional ten working day period without pay must be in effect prior to the granting of additional sick leave benefits. 4. The maximum benefit under this provision is 31 days per fiscal year.
Additional Sick Leave. Without establishing a practice or a precedent, the District may grant a faculty member sick leave in addition to that accrued in anticipation of the faculty member's accruing such leave after his or her return to duties.
Additional Sick Leave. The District shall provide additional sick leave for full-time teachers who have exhausted accumulated sick leave days prior to the commencement of long-term disability benefits. A teacher will become eligible for the additional sick leave days after the teacher has been continually disabled and unable to teach for 25 consecutive days as certified by a medical doctor. Additional sick leave benefits shall cease in any event after the sixty-fifth (65) duty day of absence.
Additional Sick Leave. One (1) additional day of sick leave allowance shall be credited to each faculty member for every multiple of twenty (20) days or every multiple of three (3) credits assigned during a summer session or as extra days. Additional Sick Leave. A regular classified employee who has exhausted all paid leave including personal illness or injury leave, will be granted supplemental sick leave for a period of no more than 100 days per year. The 100 days shall commence on the first day of the leave of absence and shall run concurrently with any other paid leave. While on supplemental sick leave, she/he shall be paid 50% of their regular salary as per Ed Code 45196. Provisions of this leave will be allowable under industrial accident and injury leave. After exhaustion of all paid leave, a permanent employee may be placed on an additional leave upon request and with the approval of the Board. The additional leave may be paid or unpaid and may be extended for any period not to exceed 18 months. If placed on unpaid leave, the employees shall not again become eligible for paid leave because of the commencement of a new fiscal year until he/she has rendered service. An employee shall not suffer a break in service when on an unpaid leave of absence.
Additional Sick Leave. After expiration of paid sick leave, an employee who is ill or 924 injured may, upon request, use accumulated vacation to avoid 925 leave without pay.
