Deferred Leave. 30.1 The parties hereby agree that the employer may grant leave without pay for a period of up to one (1) year to each employee who has completed five (5) years of continuous employment within the bargaining unit. Furthermore, the employer may grant further periods of leave without pay of up to one (1) year after an employee has completed each additional four (4) years of continuous employment within the bargaining unit.
