Broadbanding. The Union recognizes the right of the state to develop, for the use of all state agencies, a classification and compensation program in furtherance of section 110.2035, Florida Statutes. Nothing in this part shall constitute a waiver of the Association’s rights under Chapter 447, Florida Statutes.
Broadbanding. A. The State shall not establish a broadband class pursuant to Government Code Section 18523 without mutual agreement between the Department of Personnel Administration and the Union.
B. Broadband classes are classifications with the same general title may be used to designate each position allocated to the class and which may include more than one level or more than one specialty area within the same general field or work. In addition to the minimum qualifications for each broadband class, other job related qualifications may be required for particular positions within the class. When a broadband class is established, these levels and specialty areas shall be described in the class specification, and any instances in which these levels and specialty areas are to be treated as separate classes for the purposes of applying other provisions of law. 105 BU 19 (01-03)
Broadbanding. 28.1 The Chief Executive Officer may convert a position to a broadband of two classification levels where:
(a) the duties of the position genuinely span more than one level; or
(b) there is capacity for the duties of the position to expand to take on higher-level responsibilities appropriate to a higher classification level as the occupant of the position becomes more highly skilled and experienced.
Broadbanding. Broadbanding involves a position being assigned across more than one Salary Level, as described in Schedule 4 of the Agreement, allowing for progression from one level to the next, if certain criteria are met.

Broadbanding. Advancement from one classification to another in the Austrade broadband will only occur where: an employee’s performance is at least satisfactory; there is sufficient work available at the higher classification level; and the employee has the necessary skills and proficiencies to perform that work in accordance with the work level standards for that classification. Work level standards The APS Work Level Standards continue to operate and describe the work at each of the classification levels in this Agreement, consistent with the Public Service Classification Rules 2000 (PS Classification Rules), made in accordance with section 23 of the PS Act.
Broadbanding. Employees with the following local titles are broadbanded across the APS classification structure as follows: Legal 1 APS4, 5, 6, Executive Level 1 Research Scientist APS6, Executive Level 1 Professional 1 APS3, 4, 5 Public Affairs 1 APS4, 5 Health Entry Level APS1, 2, 3, 4
Broadbanding. Staff will move to this broadbanding arrangement on the date of their next increment movement on or after 5 March 2009 subject to meeting the criteria in clause 25 (Incremental salary progression). Broadbanding. (a) Broadbanding arrangements apply only to ongoing employees at APS/SA Levels 1 to 3, and do not apply to contract or non-ongoing employees.
(b) Broadbanding will be implemented in accordance with the following provisions:
(i) job
(ii) if the employee is at the top salary point of their job level and performing, at least, to a standard that meets the requirement of their job including (but not limited to demonstrating effective performance and behaviours and meeting the performance standards set in their most recent performance review (further information can be rformance and Development Planning Scheme Guidelines); they may be advanced to the next level within the broadband provided that:
(A) requirements for the available work at the next level;
(B) there is sufficient ongoing work required to be performed at the higher level; and
(C) the CEO has approved the advancement.
(iii) where more than one employee satisfies the requirements of subclause 29(b)(ii) but there is insufficient ongoing work available for all such employees, a selection process will be undertaken to determine advancement.
(iv) if the employee is advanced to the next level within the broadband, in accordance with the provisions of this clause, they are automatically reclassified to the relevant Screen Australia classification level.
(c) If the employee is entitled under the PS Act and they wish to seek a review of the reclassification or their claims for advancement, the provisions for review of employment actions, available under section 33 of the PS Act, may apply.
Broadbanding. (a) Broadbanding involves the classification of a position across two or more classification levels in the UNSW Classification Descriptors for General and Salaried Staff (Schedule 7.0).
(b) The parties’ expectation is that most general staff positions in the University will be broadbanded.
(c) Where a position is broadbanded across two or more classification levels, the incremental steps across those levels will be collapsed to create a new broadbanded incremental range with fewer incremental steps as set out in Schedule 6.0 of this Agreement.
(d) The position description for a broadbanded position will include a description of:
(i) the range of duties and/or accountabilities for the position at each classification level consistent with the descriptors; and
(ii) the review process and the skill development requirements to be met to progress to the higher classification level.
(e) An employee appointed to a broadbanded position will be appointed to the classification level consistent with the range of duties and accountabilities to be undertaken.
(f) In addition to the position description referred to in subclause 27.2(d) above, an employee and his/her supervisor will discuss through the Career Development Scheme how their skill development in the position will be facilitated.
(g) A proposal to broadband a position must be submitted to the Director Human Resources, and receive the approval of the relevant Senior Manager prior to implementation.
(h) Progression to a new classification level within a broadbanded position must be authorised by both the employee’s supervisor and the relevant Senior Manager or nominee, based on the fact that there is work available commensurate with the higher level or the person’s skill and expertise in the position has developed to the appropriate level.
