DEFINITION OF PER DIEM EMPLOYEE. A “per diem” employee, for purposes of this Agreement, is defined as an employee who works on an intermittent basis to replace full time or part time employees who may be absent for any reason and/or who are utilized to address fluctuations in workload. All per diem employees remain in per diem status regardless of the number of hours worked, so long as they meet the minimum requirements.
