Definition of Seniority and Service. Full-time employees will accumulate seniority on the basis of their continuous service in the bargaining unit from the last date of hire, except as otherwise provided herein. Part-time employees, including casual employees, will accumulate seniority on the basis of one (1) year's seniority for each 1725 hours worked in the bargaining unit as of the last date of hire, except as otherwise provided herein. Seniority will operate on a bargaining unit wide basis. Notwithstanding the above, an employee cannot accrue more than one year's seniority in a calendar year.
