Demolition Notification. Even if no ACM is found (or if quantities are less than those required for a permit), a Demolition Notification (DHHS-3768) must be submitted to the HHCU. Notifications and Asbestos Permit applications require an original signature and must be submitted to the HHCU 10 working days prior to beginning demolition activities. The 10 working day period starts based on the post- marked date or date of hand delivery. Demolition that does not begin as originally notified requires submission of a separate revision form HHCU 3768-R to HHCU. Demolition Notification. If a project involves the demolition of any load-bearing structural members, whether or not asbestos is present, 25 days prior to the demolition, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Asbestos Abatement and Demolition/Renovation Notification Form 2700- FM-BAQ0021 must be submitted to EB as specified in the Unified Facilities Guide Specification 02 82 13.00 10. The contractor may obtain a copy of the form from the EB.
Demolition Notification. Contractor shall submit a State demolition notification followed by a 10-day waiting period. This is required prior to any demolition and/or abatement activity whether there is asbestos present or not. All demolition and abatement activities must be done with wet methods. A licensed, certified NESHAP person must be on site throughout the demolition process in the event asbestos is hidden, it can be separated and abated from the demolition pile.
