Deputy shop steward. The employer shall be notified in writing when the deputy shop steward will be acting as a substitute. When acting in place of the shop steward, the deputy shall have the same rights and duties as the shop steward. Compensation of shop steward duties shall be paid to the deputy when acting in place of the shop steward. Announcements to the employer The trade union shall immediately notify the employer in writing of elected shop stewards and their deputies and of the endings of shop steward's term of office. The shop steward status comes into force at the earliest from the time when the employer has been duly notified of the election. If a shop steward who has been elected for a fixed term continues in his position without a shop steward election, the employer is to be notified of this immediately and in writing. Having been informed of the new shop steward the employer shall immediately notify shop steward in writing of the person who will negotiate with the shop steward on behalf of the employer. Change in Circumstances When the enterprise or a part of it is substantially reduced or expanded or a transfer, merger, or comparable organisational change in a business, the local trade union branch should as soon as possible bring the shop steward organisation into correspondence to the changed size and structure of the enterprise or part of the enterprise.

  • Shop Stewards The Employer agrees to the operation of a Shop Xxxxxxx system which shall be governed by the following:

  • Job Stewards 10.01 Job Stewards shall be recognized on all jobs and they shall not be discriminated against. It will be his/her duty to attend to all complaints between the workers on the job and the company to endeavor to reach a settlement before these complaints become grievances.

  • Supervisory Employees For the purposes of this Article, the parties agree that Supervisory positions are those that are not excluded under Article 2.0 above and that satisfy the following criteria:

  • Chief Stewards leave of absence with current pay, benefits and without loss of seniority will be granted to one (1) chief stewards for up to a combined maximum total of three (3) days per year to deal with Collective Agreement related problems on the work sites within the contract area. The employee shall submit two copies to his/her immediate supervisor and retain the third copy.

  • Our Personnel We will be responsible for the performance of Our personnel (including Our employees and contractors) and their compliance with Our obligations under this Agreement, except as otherwise specified herein.

  • Itinerant Teachers a) An itinerant Teacher is a Teacher who is assigned duties by the Employer in more than one school in a day.

  • SUPERVISORY PERSONNEL All supervisors and foremen shall be excluded from the bargaining unit and will not perform any work which falls within the scope of this Agreement. When supervisors and foremen are appointed, a notice to that effect will be posted and maintained on a bulletin board.

  • Union Stewards (a) The Hospital agrees to recognize Union stewards to be elected or appointed from amongst employees in the bargaining unit who have completed their probationary period for the purpose of dealing with Union business as provided under this Collective Agreement.

  • Stewards Stewards who attend Union/Management and Professional Responsibility Committee meetings outside of scheduled work hours shall be paid at straight time rates for time spent at the meetings.
