Common use of Design Two Clause in Contracts

Design Two. CLEC will provide fiber cable to the last entrance (or SBC ILLINOIS designated) manhole at the SBC ILLINOIS Tandem or End Office switch. SBC ILLINOIS shall make all necessary preparations to receive and to allow and enable CLEC to deliver fiber optic facilities into that manhole. CLEC will provide a sufficient length of Optical Fire Resistant (“OFR”) cable for SBC ILLINOIS to pull the fiber cable through the SBC ILLINOIS cable vault and terminate on the SBC ILLINOIS fiber distribution frame (“FDF”) in SBC ILLINOIS’ office. CLEC shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense up to the POI. SBC ILLINOIS shall take the fiber from the manhole and terminate it inside SBC ILLINOIS’ office on the FDF at SBC ILLINOIS’s expense. In this case the POI shall be at the SBC ILLINOIS designated manhole location.
