Design Standards. Most recent edition of the “Owner’s Design Standards,” including any partial updates as may be directed by the Owner.
Design Standards. (1) Physical structures must be designed, constructed, and equipped so as to improve or harmonize with the neighborhoods they occupy, meet contemporary standards of modest comfort and livability, and be attractive and marketable to the people they are intended to serve.
(2) Building design should strive to encourage in the residents a proprietary sense, whether or not homeownership is intended or contemplated.
(3) New construction must comply with the accessibility standards of the Fair Housing Act, section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, and the Architectural Barriers Act of 1968. The Grantee is also encouraged to read the policy statement and Final Report of the HUD Review of Model Building Codes that identifies the variances between the design and construction requirements of the Fair Housing Act and several model building codes.
(4) The Grantee is encouraged to use PATH technologies in the construction and delivery of replacement housing. PATH (Partnership for Advancing Technology in Housing) is a voluntary initiative that seeks to accelerate the creation and widespread use of advanced technologies to radically improve the quality, durability, environmental performance, energy efficiency, and affordability of our Nation's housing.
(5) The Grantee is encouraged to incorporate the principles of Universal Design when developing housing and community facilities. The intent of Universal Design is to make housing units and community facilities more usable by as many people as possible, regardless of age and ability, at little or no extra cost. Examples include designing wider doorways, installing levers instead of doorknobs, and putting bathtub/shower grab bars in all units.
Design Standards. 1.1.12. Drawings
Design Standards. The Design Guidelines, Design Standards, Educational Facilities Specifications, and Preliminary Program of Requirements are contained in HISD Design and Construction Standards and all issued updates to these standards and any supplemental written instructions provided to the A/E by HISD and/or as made available on the HISD’s website. The A/E shall develop all designs using Building Information Modeling (BIM). The A/E shall select BIM application(s) and software(s) and develop project designs using commonly accepted BIM software that is compatible with the latest International Alliance for Interoperability (IAI) Industry Foundation Class (IFC) standards. A/E shall use 3D graphic model(s) (the “Model”) and associated intelligent attribute data (“Facility Data”) created by this software to produce accurate project documents. The submitted Model shall be in a native file format, interactive for the user, and the model shall be capable of being converted to a standard platform or interoperable file format like IFCs.
Design Standards. The Design/Builder shall perform all services in accordance with requirements of governmental agencies having jurisdiction over the Project, the University of Florida Design and Commissioning Services Guide, Owner’s policies and project management guides, and any other guidelines described on Exhibit A. In addition, the Design/Builder’s design shall comply with all applicable building codes, accessibility laws and regulations, University of Florida Design and Construction Standards, University of Florida Telecommunications Standards, and other standards in effect at the time of the design work. To the extent Owner’s standards exceed applicable legal requirements, such standards shall be met unless Design/Builder obtains a variance from Owner in writing.
Design Standards. 12.1.1 Minimum design criteria and guidelines for the Work are set forth in the Technical Provisions for concession CDAs (as updated); provided however, minimum design criteria and guidelines for Facility Development Work for design-build Facilities are set forth in the Technical Provisions for design-build CDAs (as updated). Periodically, TxDOT will update such design criteria and guidelines and issue revised Technical Provisions.
12.1.2 After approval of a Facility Implementation Plan for a Facility and issuance of Facility NTP2 for that Facility, TxDOT and Developer will establish detailed criteria and standards for the applicable scope of work on a Facility-specific basis to complement the applicable Technical Provisions.
Design Standards. The design features of the Project must comply with and provide all applicable submittals in accordance with the MN Overlay to the Enterprise Green Communities criteria. Minneapolis projects are also subject to the Minneapolis Unified Housing Policy standards. Saint Xxxx projects are also subject to the Saint Xxxx Sustainable Building Ordinance.
Design Standards. The CONTRACTOR shall conform with standards for design as required by the COUNTY, State of California and the Federal Highway Administration and American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO). All documents required under this Agreement, including but not limited to plans, specifications, estimates, reports and investigations, shall be prepared in accordance with guidelines established by the COUNTY, State of California Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration.
Design Standards. Unless otherwise specifically provided for in the Agreement, or directed in writing, Consultant services, studies or designs, that include or make reference to plans, specifications, special provisions, computations, estimates, or other data shall be in conformance with applicable City, state, and federal specifications, manuals, codes or regulations, including supplements to or revisions thereof, adopted prior to or during the duration of this Agreement. In case of any conflict with the guidelines referenced, the Consultant is responsible to identify and follow any course of direction provided by the City.
Design Standards. The Project Highway including Project Facilities shall conform to design requirements set out in the following documents:
1. Specifications and Standards
2. Deviations from the Specifications and Standards
