Detective Xxxxxxx. Effective the pay period including July 1, 2024, employees in the Detective Division that are placed in a Standby (or On-Call) status while off duty shall receive a $200 incentive for each week they are designated as the Standby Detective.
Detective Xxxxxxx. An employee may leave a telephone number or wear an electronic pager so that he/she may be reached while on detective standby. Such time is not considered hours worked under FLSA and will not be compensated except as set forth below. Stand-by time is defined as being from the end of the work day on Friday to the end of the work day the following Friday (a period not to exceed seven days). Each detective on standby shall receive ten (10) hours at time and one-half per seven-day cycle. Said payment shall be made in cash or accrual of compensatory time, at the option of the employee.
Detective Xxxxxxx. Effective July 1, 2007, detectives regularly scheduled on standby shall receive a stipend of $135.00 per month ($1,620.00 for 12 months). If a detective regularly scheduled on standby is called in for duty as a detective after his/her regular shift has ended, and after he/she has left work, he/she shall receive a minimum guarantee of four (4) hours pay for such call-in (call-back) at the rate of time and one-half his/her regular rate of pay. The detective standby compensation shall be deemed, and is, regular compensation for pension / retirement purposes.
Detective Xxxxxxx. Officers assigned to the Detective Division will receive twenty dollars ($20.00) per pay period while serving in the Detective Division, up to a total of five hundred twenty dollars ($520.00) per year. Detectives must carry a personal Nextel or Department‐issued Nextel or the equivalent at all times.
