Building Representatives. A. Association building representatives shall meet with individual school principals at least monthly at mutually agreed upon times to discuss the administration of this Agreement as it relates to that particular school and other matters of concern to either party, provided that neither the principal nor the Association building representatives have the authority to reach any decision which changes this Agreement.
B. Association building representatives may request information regarding building’s long-term maintenance plans and major curriculum changes, including the District’s computer plan for the building.
C. Building representatives will have the opportunity for input prior to any final decision on the initial building budget preparation.
D. If the building principal and a majority of employees in a building approve, then the Association building representative shall not be assigned non-classroom supervision of students.
E. It is preferred that issues be resolved as efficiently as possible by those closest to the problem. As such, KEA building representatives are encouraged to discuss site-based issues with principals prior to filing a grievance, and may be accompanied by other Association representatives when doing so. Site specific issues may also be raised in the HR/KEA weekly meeting.
Building Representatives. The President of the Association or his/her designee shall notify the Superintendent of the names of the designated building representatives at the beginning of the school year.
Building Representatives. The Association’s building representative(s) and building Principal shall meet once every two weeks if requested by either party during the school year to review and discuss local school problems and practices. Each building representative shall have the right to schedule Association meetings before or after school or during the lunch period in their building. The building representative(s) shall be provided with not less than ten (10) minutes time at all building faculty meetings to report on the matters involving representation of the teachers by the Association. The building representative(s) shall be allowed free time during school hours each week to perform their duties under this Agreement, providing such free time does not interfere with their teaching duties and does not interfere with the duties of other teachers.

Building Representatives. Each school building in the District shall have a representative appointed by the President of the Association and the President shall inform each school principal of such appointments by September 30th of each year.
Building Representatives. The Association shall have the right to designate a building representative in every building site. The Association will provide the Superintendent's office with the name of the building representative designated for each site. Building representatives may accompany employees at the representatives work site to meetings with the employee's supervisor at the employee's request when the meeting may result in disciplinary action.
Building Representatives. 13.01 The Board of Education recognizes the right of OAPSE to designate Building Representatives from among its members in the unit. It is agreed that OAPSE, in appointing such representatives, does so for the purpose of promoting an effective relationship between the Board of Education and employees by helping settle problems at the lowest level possible.
13.02 Building representatives shall be designated by OAPSE and there shall be no more than one representative for each school building, the bus compound, and a representative for the combined Administrative Assistants/Technology Support departments. OAPSE shall notify the Assistant Superintendent of Schools, in writing, of the names of the building representatives and the building they represent.
13.03 Building representatives may also be designated for the local union grievance committee or negotiating committee.
13.04 Building representatives or grievance committee members will meet on non-working hours if at all possible. The Board agrees to work with the Union to allow members to attend Union meetings when possible. At no time will a building or work site be closed or not able to operate because of employees attending a Union meeting. Employees that attend Union meetings must complete all of their assigned work duties at no extra cost or time charged to the Board of Education.
13.05 Any meetings called by the Board, Administration or Supervisory personnel during the regular scheduled working hours of a building representative shall be without loss of pay.
13.06 Building representatives or Union officers shall be entitled to seek and obtain assistance from OAPSE staff personnel.
13.07 The OAPSE President may request paid release time to conduct the business of the Union which conflicts with his duties. This release time will be limited to 40 hours per year unless additional time is authorized by the Board. It is understood that the President’s Supervisor has the right to approve or deny any particular request based upon the Supervisor’s judgment of the need of the schools.
Building Representatives. Building Representatives may meet with the Building Principal, at a mutually agreed upon time, to discuss matters relating to the administration of this agreement or a local building problem.
Building Representatives. The duly designated representative(s) of the Albany Public School United Employees for each school building.
Building Representatives. The EGREA President/designee agrees to provide the Superintendent and building principals the names of association officers and building representatives on an annual basis.
