Dismissal of Employee. A two week notice of employment termination will be given by the College. The College retains the right to discipline and discharge for cause. During the 90 day probationary period, employees are not eligible to file a grievance if discharged or disciplined. If a temporarily waived job requirement has not been met, the probationary period may remain in effect until such time as the requirement has been satisfied.

Dismissal of Employee. An employee may be dismissed only for just cause and only upon the authority of the Board. The Supervisor may suspend an employee but shall immediately report such action to the Board. Such employee and the Union shall be advised promptly in writing by the Board of the reason for such dismissal or suspension. Just cause shall not include the refusal of an employee to cross the picket line of a legal strike, or refusal of an employee to deal with any business establishment involved in a legal strike. This provision shall be inapplicable to any employee in respect of her refusal to work or to cross such picket line if she has permission of the striking union to cross such picket line or to so deal.
