Drug-Free Schools, Community and Workplace. District Board policy #5201 applies to all AISP employees a copy of which is available on the District’s website (xxx.xxx000.xxx) for reference. A written copy will be provided upon request to Human Resources.

Drug-Free Schools, Community and Workplace. A. The Ellensburg School District is committed to providing its students and employees with an alcohol and drug free workplace. It is our goal to protect the health and safety of students and employees and promote an efficient and productive work environment. Consistent with these goals, and in order to be in compliance with the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988*, any activity involving the use, possession, distribution, or sale of alcohol, unauthorized prescription drugs, controlled substances, or drug paraphernalia on District property or during any school-sponsored event is prohibited. Employees who are found to be in violation of this policy shall be subject to corrective and disciplinary action which may include termination and referral for prosecution. Compliance with this policy is mandatory.
Drug-Free Schools, Community and Workplace. The Board has an obligation to staff, students and citizens to take reasonable steps to assure safety in the workplace and to provide safety and high quality performance for the students that the staff serves.
