Common use of Dues Clause in Contracts

Dues. 1. Any unit member who is a member of the Association or who has applied for membership, may sign and deliver personally and through the Association to the Superintendent an assignment authorizing deductions of membership dues in the United Education Profession (i.e., PAT-OEA-NEA). Such authorization shall continue in effect from year to year, unless revoked in writing as hereinafter provided. Pursuant to such authorization, the District shall deduct one-twelfth of such dues from the first regular salary check of the unit member each month for twelve (12) months, beginning September and ending August of each year. However, the Association may change the date for deductions to begin by notifying the District by June 1 of the year in which the change is to occur. The Association may not change the date again during the life of the Agreement once this option is exercised. Deductions for unit members who join the Association after the commencement of the school year shall be appropriately prorated so that payments will be completed by the following August. In the case of unit members who have elected to receive their annual compensation in ten (10) equal monthly payments, the dues deduction shall be made monthly of one-tenth of such dues. 2. Withdrawing the payroll deduction for such dues may be accomplished by writing a letter to the Office of the Association and to the Office of the Superintendent and delivered prior to the first day of October of any year. Letters received prior to October 1 shall be effective October 1 of the same year. Otherwise they shall be effective October of the ensuing year. 3. The Association covenants and warrants that its present Bylaws provide for and agrees to indemnify, defend and hold the District harmless for the foregoing fair share deductions and dues deductions authorizations and withdrawals procedures. In the event the District invokes this paragraph, then the Association will provide the attorney and the parties will fully cooperate in any litigation. In the event the District wishes to use its own attorney, then the District will pay the cost of said attorney. The aforementioned Bylaws make such authorizations irrevocable except as stated in Paragraph 2. In the event of any amendment to such Bylaws lessening the restrictions on withdrawal, the Association will give the Office of the Superintendent written notice thereof prior to the tenth day of any month for which such amendment permits withdrawal of authorizations. In the event of such notice, the District may permit such withdrawal on the basis of such new provisions. 4. A computer printout of employees on Association dues deductions and Fair Share fees shall be sent to the Association, together with the remittance due the United Education Profession (i.e., PAT-OEA- NEA), within five (5) working days, following the end of the calendar month in which the payroll check has been issued, including a listing of all additions and deletions to the membership list from the previous month. The Association agrees promptly to advise the Superintendent of all members of the Association in good standing from time to time, and to furnish any other information needed by the Superintendent to fulfill the provisions of this Article, and not otherwise readily available to the District. The District shall complete reasonable Association forms and submit them monthly with the remittance to the Association.

Dues. 1. Name Address I hereby request and authorize the Wareham School Committee to deduct from my earnings and transmit to the Association checked below an amount sufficient to provide for regular payment of the Association or who has applied for membership, may sign and deliver personally and through the Association to the Superintendent an assignment authorizing deductions of membership dues as certified by such Association(s) in equal monthly payments over the United Education Profession (i.e., PAT-OEA-NEA)remainder of the school year and for succeeding school years. Such authorization shall continue in effect from I understand that the Committee will discontinue such deductions for any school year to year, unless revoked only if I notify the Committee in writing as hereinafter provided. Pursuant to such authorization, the District shall deduct one-twelfth of such dues from the first regular salary check of the unit member each month for twelve do so not later than sixty (1260) months, beginning September and ending August of each year. However, the Association may change the date for deductions days prior to begin by notifying the District by June 1 of the year in which the change is to occur. In the case of unit members who have elected to receive their annual compensation in ten (10) equal monthly payments, the dues deduction shall be made monthly of one-tenth of such duesSchool Committee and all its officers from any liability therefore. 2. Withdrawing the payroll deduction for such dues may be accomplished by writing a letter The Wareham Education Association, Inc., named in Section 1 will certify to the Office Committee in writing the current rate of the Association and to the Office of the Superintendent and delivered membership dues. The Committee will be given thirty (30) days' written notice prior to the first day of October effective date of any year. Letters received prior to October 1 shall be effective October 1 of the same year. Otherwise they shall be effective October of the ensuing yearchange in membership dues. 3. The Deductions will be made as agreed by the Association covenants and warrants that its present Bylaws provide for and agrees the Town Treasurer. 4. Continuing cash members are those who choose to indemnify, defend and hold pay dues directly to the District harmless for Association. Notwithstanding the foregoing fair share deductions and above said cash members must pay their full dues deductions authorizations and withdrawals proceduresby December 31 of each school year. In the event they do not make such payment by December 31, as so certified to the District invokes this paragraphCommittee by the Association to the extent certified, then in such event the Association dues authorization previously executed on file in the Superintendent's office shall become operative. 5. No later than October 15, of each year, the Committee will provide the attorney Association with a list of those employees who have voluntarily authorized the Committee to deduct dues for any of the Associations named in Section 1 above. This authorization shall be stated prior to September 30. The Committee will notify the Association monthly of any changes in said list. Any teacher desiring to have the Committee discontinue deductions s/he previously authorized must notify the Committee and the parties will fully cooperate Association concerned in any litigation. In the event the District wishes to use its own attorney, then the District will pay the cost of said attorney. The aforementioned Bylaws make such authorizations irrevocable except as stated in Paragraph 2. In the event of any amendment to such Bylaws lessening the restrictions on withdrawal, the Association will give the Office of the Superintendent written notice thereof writing sixty (60) days prior to the tenth day commencement of any month for which such amendment permits withdrawal of authorizations. In the event of such notice, the District may permit such withdrawal on the basis of such new provisionsschool year. 4. The Association agrees promptly shall indemnify and save the Committee and/or the Town harmless against all claims, demands, suits, or other forms of liability which may arise by reason of any action taken in making deductions and remitting the same to advise the Superintendent of all members of the Association in good standing from time pursuant to time, and to furnish any other information needed by the Superintendent to fulfill the provisions of this Article, and not otherwise readily available to the District. The District shall complete reasonable Association forms and submit them monthly with the remittance to the Association.

Dues. Deductions shall be taken for Xxxxxxx Xxxxxx Education Association as follows: 1. Any unit member In accordance with the articles in this Agreement dealing with employment, any teacher who is not a member of the Xxxxxxx Xxxxxx Education Association or who has applied for membershipin good standing shall, may sign and deliver personally and through the Association as a condition of employment, pay to the Superintendent Xxxxxxx Xxxxxx Education Association as a representative benefit fee, an assignment authorizing deductions amount equal to the dues of membership dues in the United Xxxxxxx Xxxxxx Education Profession Association, the National Education Association of Rhode Island (i.e.NEARI), PAT-OEA-and the National Education Association (NEA). Such authorization shall continue in effect from year to year, unless revoked in writing as hereinafter provided. Pursuant to such authorization, the District shall deduct one-twelfth of such dues from the first regular salary check of the unit member each month for twelve (12) months, beginning September and ending August of each year. Withdrawing The committee agrees to deduct from the payroll deduction salaries of employees in the negotiating unit dues for such the Xxxxxxx Xxxxxx Education Association, the National Educational Association of Rhode Island (NEARI), and the National Educational Association (NEA) and to transmit the moneys promptly to an indicated Xxxxxxx Xxxxxx Education Association account. Additional funds that employees of the negotiating unit wish to have deducted for purposes other than the payment of dues may be accomplished by writing a letter to the Office BWEA, the NEARI, and the NEA, such as contributions to charities, scholarship funds, and political action committees sponsored by any of the Association and to above organizations, must be authorized by the Office employee, on an annual basis, using a form supplied by the BWEA. It shall be the responsibility of the BWEA to distribute and collect these forms, and inform the Superintendent and delivered prior to of the first day of October amount of any year. Letters received prior to October 1 shall be effective October 1 of the same year. Otherwise they shall be effective October of the ensuing yearsuch additional deduction. 3. The Association covenants and warrants that its present Bylaws provide for and agrees to indemnify, defend and hold the District harmless for the foregoing fair share deductions and dues deductions authorizations and withdrawals procedures. In the event the District invokes this paragraph, then the Association will provide the attorney and the parties will fully cooperate in any litigation. In the event the District wishes to use its own attorney, then the District will pay the cost of said attorney. The aforementioned Bylaws make such authorizations irrevocable except as stated in Paragraph 2. In the event of any amendment to such Bylaws lessening the restrictions on withdrawal, the Xxxxxxx Xxxxxx Education Association will give the Office of the Superintendent written notice thereof ten (10) days notice, in writing, prior to the tenth day effective date of any month for which such amendment permits withdrawal change in funds to be deducted from any employee of authorizations. In the event of such notice, the District may permit such withdrawal on the basis of such new provisionsnegotiating unit. 4. A computer printout of employees on Association dues deductions Deductions referred to in Section A, Paragraphs 1, 2, and Fair Share fees shall 3 above, will be sent made in twenty- five (25) equal installments. The Committee will not be required to honor any deduction authorizations that are delivered to it later than ten (10) days prior to the Association, together with the remittance due the United Education Profession (i.e., PAT-OEA- NEA), within five (5) working days, following the end distribution of the calendar month in payroll from which the payroll check has been issueddeductions are to be made. If a teacher terminates employment during the year, including the balance of the dues will be deducted from the last check. 5. No later than October 1st of each year, the Committee will provide the Association with a listing list of all additions and deletions those members of the bargaining unit who have voluntarily authorized the Committee to deduct dues for the Associations named in Section A above. A list of new hires is to be delivered to the membership list from President(s) and Treasurer of the previous monthXxxxxxx Xxxxxx Education Association within one week of their date of hire. 6. The Association agrees promptly will indemnify and save the School Committee, its agents and servants harmless with respect to advise any claim, suit, judgment, or other liability resulting from any deduction made from the Superintendent of all members of teacher's pay, pursuant to the above authorization or dues deduction. The Association shall also indemnify and save harmless the Committee in any case where an individual has signed and delivered to the Association in good standing such authorization, but the Association has failed to notify the Committee thereof and accordingly deduction has not been made from time to time, and to furnish any other information needed by the Superintendent to fulfill the provisions of this Article, and not otherwise readily available to the District. The District shall complete reasonable Association forms and submit them monthly with the remittance to the Associationteacher's pay.

Dues. 1. Any unit member who is A. The Board agrees to deduct dues from the wages of employees for the payment of dues to the Ohio Association of Public School Employees (OAPSE) and the chapter upon presentation of a member written authorization individually executed by an employee. B. Union dues, as certified by the Treasurer of the Association or who has applied annually by September 15, shall be deducted according to the roster of members submitted by the Association Treasurer to the Bay Village Board of Education. Monthly dues shall be forwarded to the State Association. C. Individual authorization forms agreed upon by the Treasurer and OAPSE #579 shall be furnished by the local Association. D. OAPSE membership dues shall be deducted from the employee’s pay in nine (9) equal deductions from the 20th of the month payroll, starting with the October 20th paycheck. Members of the bargaining unit enrolling for membershipdues deduction after the October 20th paycheck, may sign have deductions prorated over the remaining months prior to the June 20th paycheck, provided the Treasurer’s office is informed in writing by the first of the month the deductions shall begin. E. The Association agrees to indemnify and deliver personally save the Board harmless against any and through all claims that may arise out of or by any reason of action taken by the Board in reliance upon any authorization cards submitted by the Association to the Superintendent an assignment authorizing Board. F. Current employees not subject to Article 9,G: Dues deductions of membership dues in the United Education Profession (i.e., PAT-OEA-NEA). Such authorization shall continue in effect from year to year, unless revoked in writing as hereinafter provided. Pursuant to such authorization, be irrevocable for the District shall deduct one-twelfth of such dues from the first regular salary check period of the unit member each month for twelve (12) months, beginning September and ending August of each yearcontract except that authorization may be revoked by written notice during the 10-day period indicated on the employee’s OAPSE AFSCME Union Application on file. However, the Association may change the date for deductions to begin by notifying the District by June 1 of the year in which the change This notice is to occurbe served upon the district Treasurer and the OAPSE State Treasurer. The Association may not change the date again during the life of the Agreement once this option is exercised. Deductions for unit members who join the Association after the commencement of the school year shall be appropriately prorated so that payments will be completed by the following August. In the case of unit members who have elected to receive their annual compensation in ten (10) equal monthly payments, the dues deduction shall be made monthly of one-tenth of such dues. 2. Pursuant to such authorization, the District shall deduct one-twelfth receipt of such dues notice from the first regular salary check of the unit member each month for twelve (12Union. b) monthsThe total annual membership dues, beginning September and ending August of each year. Howevercertified as mentioned above, the Association may change the date for deductions to begin by notifying the District by June 1 of the year in which the change is to occur. The Association may not change the date again during the life of the Agreement once this option is exercised. Deductions for unit members who join the Association after the commencement of the school year shall be appropriately prorated so that payments will be completed by the following August. In the case of unit members who have elected to receive their annual compensation deducted in ten (10) equal monthly paymentsinstallments beginning with the second pay period in October, and thereafter in every other pay period. c) No later than thirty (30) days prior to the second scheduled pay date in October, the Union shall provide the District with a list and the original signed dues deduction au1horization_-cards„ofJhoseLemplovees who have voluntarily authorized the District to deduct dues, except for such employees whose original signed dues authorization cards were previously submitted to the District. 1. Additional authorizations submitted after the schedule set forth in paragraph 2(c) above, shall be made monthly honored and become effective on the pay date next following the passage of one-tenth of such duesthirty (30) days after receipt by the District. Such dues shall then be deducted at the same rate and at the same time as the installment payments set forth in paragraph 2(b). 2. Withdrawing The District shall, following each pay period from which a dues deduction is made, transmit the payroll deduction for such dues may be accomplished by writing a letter amount so deducted to the Office of the Association and to the Office of the Superintendent and delivered prior to the first day of October of any year. Letters received prior to October 1 shall be effective October 1 of the same year. Otherwise they shall be effective October of the ensuing yearUnion. 3. The Association covenants and warrants that its present Bylaws provide for and agrees to indemnify, defend and hold the District harmless for the foregoing fair share deductions and dues deductions authorizations and withdrawals procedures. Pursuant to such authorization, the District shall deduct one-twelfth of such dues from the first regular salary check of the unit member each month for twelve do so not later than sixty (1260) months, beginning September and ending August of each year. However, the Association may change the date for deductions days prior to begin by notifying the District by June 1 of the year in which the change is to occur. The Association may not change the date again during the life of the Agreement once this option is exercised. Deductions for unit members who join the Association after the commencement of the school year shall be appropriately prorated so that payments will be completed by year. I hereby waive all right and claim for said monies deducted and transmitted in accordance with this authorization relieve the following August. In the case of unit members who have elected to receive their annual compensation in ten (10) equal monthly payments, the dues deduction shall be made monthly of one-tenth of such duesSchool Committee and all its officers from any liability therefore. 2. Withdrawing the payroll deduction for such dues may be accomplished by writing a letter The Wareham Education Association, Inc., named in Section 1 will certify to the Office Committee in writing the current rate of the Association and to the Office of the Superintendent and delivered membership dues. The Committee will be given thirty (30) days' written notice prior to the first day of October effective date of any year. Letters received prior to October 1 shall be effective October 1 of the same year. Otherwise they shall be effective October of the ensuing yearchange in membership dues. 3. The Deductions will be made as agreed by the Association covenants and warrants that its present Bylaws provide for and agrees the Town Treasurer. 4. Continuing cash members are those who choose to indemnify, defend and hold pay dues directly to the District harmless for Association. Notwithstanding the foregoing fair share deductions and above said cash members must pay their full dues deductions authorizations and withdrawals proceduresby December 31 of each school year. In the event they do not make such payment by December 31, as so certified to the District invokes this paragraphCommittee by the Association to the extent certified, then in such event the Association dues authorization previously executed on file in the Superintendent's office shall become operative. 5. No later than October 15, of each year, the Committee will provide the attorney Association with a list of those employees who have voluntarily authorized the Committee to deduct dues for any of the Associations named in Section 1 above. This authorization shall be stated prior to September 30. The Committee will notify the Association monthly of any changes in said list. Any teacher desiring to have the Committee discontinue deductions s/he previously authorized must notify the Committee and the parties will fully cooperate Association concerned in any litigation. In the event the District wishes to use its own attorney, then the District will pay the cost of said attorney. The aforementioned Bylaws make such authorizations irrevocable except as stated in Paragraph 2. In the event of any amendment to such Bylaws lessening the restrictions on withdrawal, the Association will give the Office of the Superintendent written notice thereof writing sixty (60) days prior to the tenth day commencement of any month for which such amendment permits withdrawal of authorizations. In the event of such notice, the District may permit such withdrawal on the basis of such new provisionsschool year. 4. A computer printout of employees on Association dues deductions and Fair Share fees shall be sent to the Association, together with the remittance due the United Education Profession (i.e., PAT-OEA- NEA), within five (5) working days, following the end of the calendar month in which the payroll check has been issued, including a listing of all additions and deletions to the membership list from the previous month6. The Association agrees promptly shall indemnify and save the Committee and/or the Town harmless against all claims, demands, suits, or other forms of liability which may arise by reason of any action taken in making deductions and remitting the same to advise the Superintendent of all members of the Association in good standing from time pursuant to time, and to furnish any other information needed by the Superintendent to fulfill the provisions of this Article, and not otherwise readily available to the District. The District shall complete reasonable Association forms and submit them monthly with the remittance to the Association.

Dues. 1. Dues. 1. Any unit member who is A. The Board agrees to deduct dues from the wages of employees for the payment of dues to the Ohio Association of Public School Employees (OAPSE) and the chapter upon presentation of a member written authorization individually executed by an employee. B. Union dues, as certified by the Treasurer of the Association or who has applied annually by September 15, shall be deducted according to the roster of members submitted by the Association Treasurer to the Bay Village Board of Education. Monthly dues shall be forwarded to the State Association. C. Individual authorization forms agreed upon by the Treasurer and OAPSE #579 shall be furnished by the local Association. D. OAPSE membership dues shall be deducted from the employee’s pay in nine (9) equal deductions from the 20th of the month payroll, starting with the October 20th paycheck. Members of the bargaining unit enrolling for membershipdues deduction after the October 20th paycheck, may sign have deductions prorated over the remaining months prior to the June 20th paycheck, provided the Treasurer’s office is informed in writing by the first of the month the deductions shall begin. E. The Association agrees to indemnify and deliver personally save the Board harmless against any and through all claims that may arise out of or by any reason of action taken by the Board in reliance upon any authorization cards submitted by the Association to the Superintendent an assignment authorizing Board. F. Current employees not subject to Article 9,G: Dues deductions authorization shall be irrevocable for the period of membership dues the contract except that authorization may be revoked by written notice , in a manner consistent with the withdrawal procedures set forth on the employee’s OAPSE AFSCME Union Application, which, in addition to the employee’s copy, is kept on file in the United Education Profession (i.e., PAT-OEA-NEA)district treasurer’s office and state OAPSE office in Columbus. Such authorization shall continue in effect from year to year, unless revoked in writing as hereinafter provided. The Association agrees promptly to advise the Superintendent of all members of the Association in good standing from time to time, and to furnish any other information needed by the Superintendent to fulfill the provisions of this Article, and not otherwise readily available to the District. The District shall complete reasonable Association forms and submit them monthly with the remittance to the Associationagreement.
