Duty Weapons. The CITY shall furnish a duty weapon to each authorized employee. If an employee elects to carry a different duty weapon, the employee shall provide the weapon at his/her own cost. Duty weapons shall be restricted to the following calibers: 40, 45, or 9mm. Duty weapons shall be approved by the Range Staff and the Chief of Police. The employee shall qualify with the weapon before it can be carried on duty. The CITY shall provide all duty-ammunition for duty weapons.

Duty Weapons. Sworn employees shall be permitted to furnish their duty weapon provided that the duty weapon meets all the specifications established by the Police Department. The City shall provide a duty weapon upon the individual request of a sworn employee. POST Pay Intermediate POST Pay: A Police Officer who obtains and maintains an intermediate POST certificate will qualify for seven and one half percent (7.5%) additional compensation.
Duty Weapons. The Chief shall determine the specifications for all on-duty firearms, and the weapon carried by each Officer must fully conform to such specifications. The City shall purchase an approved firearm for each new Officer, upon the Officer’s re- quest, who does not have an approved weapon upon employment. For Officers who have a minimum of two (2) years of service with the Department, the City may at its discretion purchase a firearm approved by the Chief for on-duty use. The amount paid by the City toward the purchase of a firearm shall not exceed five hundred ($500.00) dollars. Only one such purchase shall be allowed per Officer within a three (3) year period. In either case, the requesting Officer shall provide the Chief with an executed Payroll De- duction Authorization form provided by the City prior to the purchase, and the City shall by fully reimbursed, through payroll deduction by the Officer. If an Officer separates from the City’s employment before the City has been fully xxxx- bursed, the amount still owed shall be deducted from any monies owed to the terminating Officer by the City. In the event that a terminating Officer’s final pay is insufficient to enable the City to recovery the remaining amount due, the Officer shall either pay the City the entire balance owed or shall turn in the firearm to the Chief of Police. Payroll deduction shall begin with the first ap- propriate pay period after the Officer has received the firearm, and the City shall be reimbursed for the entire amount within ten (10) months from the date of purchase.

  • Weapons (1) If the Contractor requests that its personnel performing in the USCENTCOM AOR be authorized to carry weapons for individual self-defense, the request shall be made through the Contracting Officer to the Combatant Commander, in accordance with DoD Instruction 3020.41.   • CONTRACT WORK HOURS AND SAFETY STANDARDS As per the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act (40 U.S.C. 3701-3708), where applicable, all Customer Purchase Orders in excess of ,000 that involve the employment of mechanics or laborers must include a provision for compliance with 40 U.S.C. 3702 and 3704, as supplemented by Department of Labor regulations (29 CFR Part 5). Under 40 U.S.C. 3702 of the Act, each contractor must be required to compute the wages of every mechanic and laborer on the basis of a standard work week of 40 hours. Work in excess of the standard work week is permissible provided that the worker is compensated at a rate of not less than one and a half times the basic rate of pay for all hours worked in excess of 40 hours in the work week. The requirements of 40 U.S.C. 3704 are applicable to construction work and provide that no laborer or mechanic must be required to work in surroundings or under working conditions which are unsanitary, hazardous or dangerous. These requirements do not apply to the purchases of supplies or materials or articles ordinarily available on the open market, or contracts for transportation or transmission of intelligence.

  • DRUG AND ALCOHOL FREE WORKPLACE 20.1 All employees must report to work in a condition fit to perform their assigned duties unimpaired by alcohol or drugs.

Illegal drug activity means possessing, furnishing, selling, offering, purchasing, using or being under the influence of illegal drugs or other controlled substances for which the individual lacks a valid prescription. Alcohol abuse means possessing, furnishing, selling, offering, or using alcoholic beverages, or being under the influence of alcohol.

  • Drug-Free Workplace Contractor represents and warrants that it shall comply with the applicable provisions of the Drug-Free Work Place Act of 1988 (41 U.S.C. §701 et seq.) and maintain a drug-free work environment.
