Sales Promotions In addition to decreasing prices for the balance of the Contract term due to a change in market conditions, the Contractor may conduct sales promotions involving price reductions for a specified lesser period. The Contractor must submit documentation identifying the proposed: (1) starting and ending dates of the promotion, (2) commodities or contractual services involved, and (3) promotional prices compared to then-authorized prices.
Application for Promotion Employees who have successfully completed their initial probationary period may make application for any Job Posting provided they meet the minimum, stated qualifications for the involved position; provided, however, that employees who have failed a promotional probationary period in a classification shall not be permitted to take an examination for promotion to that classification within twelve (12) months of the date of such failure.
Promotion A promotion shall mean the transfer of an employee to a higher level position of more responsibility as well as salary.
Salary Upon Promotion Except as otherwise provided herein, any full or part-time employee who is promoted to a position in a class allocated to a higher salary scale than the class from which the employee was promoted shall receive the salary step rate of the appropriate scale which would constitute an increase of salary most closely equivalent to, but not less than, five (5) percent of the employee’s salary step rate before promotion, but not less than the minimum salary scale of the new class nor greater than the maximum salary of the new class. If a promotion occurs on the same day a merit increase is due and approved, the merit increase shall be computed first and subsequently the increase due to promotion. An employee who is promoted shall be considered for a merit increase when the employee’s total hours in paid status, exclusive of overtime subsequent to promotion, equals 1,040 hours. The effective date of the merit increase shall be in accordance with Section 7.21.
Promotion of Contract It is agreed that Vendor will encourage all eligible entities to purchase from the TIPS Program. Encouraging entities to purchase directly from the Vendor and not through TIPS contract is not acceptable to the terms and conditions of this contract and will result in removal of Vendor from Program. Vendor is expected to use marketing funds for the marketing and promotion of this contract.
Criteria for Promotion 24.04.01 For evaluating each application for promotion, the following general criteria shall apply:

Promotion of Agreement It is agreed that Vendor will encourage all eligible entities to purchase from the TIPS Program. Investment Promotion 1. Each Contracting Party shall promote investments in its territory by investors of the other Contracting Party and admit such investments in accordance with its legislation.
Promotions The anniversary date of a promoted employee is determined as for a new employee in Subsection 5.3.A above.
