Edging. The Contractor shall edge all sidewalks, driveways, and curbs each time the adjacent grass is cut.

Edging a. Edge all shrub pits, shrub beds, and tree pits once a month throughout the life of the project such that the vee-cut edging detail specified on the plans is maintained. Prevent grass and weeds from growing over or into the shrub beds and tree pits.

Edging. All sidewalks, patios and concrete cart paths must be kept edged. Edging around valve boxes, meter boxes, backflow preventers, etc. shall be done as needed to insure that there is no obstruction of play or maintenance from growth around these items.
Edging. 2.3.1 The Grounds team will edge finer turf areas grass with shears as appropriate and will reform grass edges with half-moons annually.
Edging. Edging of all sidewalks, curbs and other paved areas shall be performed at the same time as mowing of turf areas twice per month. No edging of turf areas with string trimmers. Ground cover shall be edged as needed to contain them within their borders. Debris from the edging operations shall be removed and the areas blown clean using Best Management Practices (BMPs) as identified in Exhibit A-4 - Phase II NPDES Best Management Practices for Landscape Sites.
Edging. Edging is the removal of all weeds, sand, vegetation, debris and plant material by the Contractor from all edges of curbs, to maintain these areas in an attractive and manicured condition. Edging includes the removal of growth mechanically and manually and shall be performed in conjunction with the mowing cycle. The edging of curbs shall create a distinct void; approximately one-half (1/2) inch horizontally between the structure and the turf. String trimmers shall not be used in edging. Edging also includes the removal of all sand and debris from the areas designated to be edged. Upon completion of edging by the Contractor, no growth, sand or debris shall touch any of the structures designated to be edged. The Contractor shall remove all sand and debris from the areas designated for edging. NOTE: Areas specified for edging will not be treated with herbicide. Basis of Payment. Prices and payments will be full compensation for all work and materials specified in this Section. Edging. Mechanical edging of all turf edges abutting sidewalks, and flush paved surfaces, including all road curbs at interchanges, drives, exits and entry lanes onto highways. This may be accomplished by string trimmers, push blade edging machines or tractor mounted edging equipment.
