Turf Maintenance. Overseeding
3.6.1 Turf areas designated for over-seeding will be indicated in the Frequency Schedule. Authority will provide specific dates and times for the over-seeding schedule based on the use of each facility.
3.6.2 Contractor shall begin lowering the height of the turf during the scheduled weekly mowing approximately three weeks before the final cut. One week before the final cut, Contractor will reduce irrigation to the minimum in the turf areas. Contractor shall mow turf to a height of one-half inch (1/2”) and mower blades shall not be allowed to disturb the soil.
3.6.3 All grass clippings generated from this process will be vacuumed, swept or raked after each cut.
3.6.4 A light irrigation syringe cycle will be applied before the final cut to keep the dust levels to a minimum (per Coachella Valley Association of Governments guidelines).
3.6.5 Actual dates for the final mowing will be determined by Authority. Mowing activities may vary due scheduled activities, condition of turf, and the actual mowing height needed to ensure seed-to-soil contact. Should Contractor fail to complete mowing or renovations during weekdays, Contractor shall adjust the schedule to work on Saturdays at no additional cost to Authority. Advance permission to perform work on Saturdays is required.
3.6.6 The Authority may supply grass seed. However, the Authority may request that Contractor supply Authority specified grass seed, and be reimbursed at the cost of material plus an allowable mark-up of fifteen percent (15%). The application rate for the seed shall be no less than ten (10) pounds per 1,000 square feet. The Contractor shall also spot seed and mulch as necessary, areas after germination to ensure a well-covered rye stand, at no additional labor cost as directed by the Authority. The Contractor is to verify and confirm quantity of seed bags with Authority personnel prior to installation and after seeding task is complete.
Turf Maintenance. All turf grass shall be mowed on a weekly basis to maintain a neat appearance. All turf shall be fertilized following industry standards to maintain a consistent green appearance.
Turf Maintenance. MOWING
a. Contractor shall maintain the lawn at an average height of three (3) inches. Mowing shall commence no later than ten (10) days after notification by the T.M.M., or their representative. Mowing will be performed weekly, approximately twenty-eight (28) times per year.
b. Contractor shall perform all edging and/or trimming adjacent to fences, sidewalks, roads and flowerbeds concurrently with the first mowing of the season, and as necessary thereafter. This shall include weeding as necessary to maintain a neat, orderly appearance.
c. Contractor shall remove and dispose of all trash, debris and related material in all areas maintained throughout the duration of this Contract. No cuttings shall be blown onto the walks or pavements. MULCHING
a. Contractor shall rake, and remove all trash, weeds, and add or remove mulch to a minimum depth of no less than two (2) inches, at all mulched areas maintained. This work shall be performed within thirty (30) days after notification by the T.M.M., or their representative. Mulching will be performed four (4) times per year to maintain a visually appealing appearance throughout the contract.
b. Contractor shall use a standard industry type of organic, hardwood mulch.
c. When mulching has been completed, the Contractor shall notify the TMM, or their representative, to set up an onsite inspection. This inspection will determine proper depth, material, and visual appearance has been obtained. The TMM will determine if the work is acceptable and approve payment.
d. If the TMM determines there are any areas that are unacceptable, the Contractor shall return and correct such areas at no additional cost to the Administration, no later than ten
Turf Maintenance. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, and material required for turf maintenance. Turf locations managed by the Transportation Department are typically located adjacent to City sidewalks and within medians. The City estimates a two (2) week cycle for routine maintenance, but the City may choose to increase the frequency to weekly on occasion or scale back to monthly if it is in the best interest of the City. The Department supports efforts to conserve water and allows the turf areas to go dormant in the winter. Turf maintenance will be inspected by a Contract Specialist assigned to a specific route area for completion of all tasks below. Failure to perform routine daily maintenance per established schedule will result in nonpayment for the entire day. In the event work was not completed due to inclement weather or unforeseen events it may be rescheduled on the Friday of the same cycle upon approval by the Contract Specialist. The Contractor must notify the Contract Specialist via email what areas were missed the following morning to schedule make up work on Friday. Any additions or subtraction to the inventory will require a SF price adjustment. Routine Turf Maintenance shall be paid at the unit price per route day.
Turf Maintenance. In lieu of rent payments for the program space provided by Fraser to the District at the Fraser Historic Church, the District agrees to provide turf maintenance services for Fraser owned properties. These properties include the Old School House Park, the Fraser Historic Church, the Gardeners Shed, the 120 Zerex, Headwater Trails Alliance Office, and miscellaneous parkways. The turf maintenance schedule shall be agreed upon by the Fraser Town Manager and FVMRD Executive Director. Turf maintenance services include irrigation system charge up and blow out, irrigation system maintenance and repair, weekly or bi-weekly mowing, string trimming, fertilization application, herbicide application, and bi-yearly aeration. Fraser shall reimburse the District for irrigation supplies costs upon receipt of an invoice.
Turf Maintenance. ▇▇▇▇▇▇ agrees that it shall, during the term of this Lease Agreement and any extension or renewal thereof, be responsible for turf maintenance in the grass areas both within and immediately adjacent to the Leased Premises (see Exhibit “A”). LESSOR shall be responsible for payment of all costs for maintenance.
Turf Maintenance. Provide a seven-point chemical program for all athletic turf areas, following the proposed schedule below. Recommendations for schedule modification limited to, pre-emergent weed control fertilizations and post-emergent treatments, insecticides, fungicides, lime, and other chemicals consistent with best management practices. The Contractor shall provide the materials, equipment, and labor to perform all applications.
Turf Maintenance. The City shall be responsible for regular and routine turf maintenance, except for baseball/softball infields, according to its regular management plans as may be adjusted from time to time based on budget. In general, this includes:
1. Weekly mowing of all outfields and flat fields. The City shall typically mow all fields once each week at 2 ½ inches in height.
2. The City will maintain all outfield and flat field irrigation systems and perform all required repairs. Leagues shall not attempt to adjust irrigation clocks or turn them on or off.

Turf Maintenance. A. Maintenance shall begin immediately after any area is seeded and shall continue for a 90 day active growing period for seeded areas past Final Acceptance. The completion of all lawn construction work, and until final acceptance of the project.
1. In the event that seeding operations are completed too late in the autumn for adequate germination and growth of grass, then maintenance shall continue into the following spring for the minimum 60 Day period. In addition, install blankets or netting to prevent loam degradation and movement over the winter. Submit product literature and samples to the Owner’s Representative for review. Blankets and netting shall be placed in a timely manner at no additional cost to the Owner.
2. Contractor shall be responsible for the timely care and maintenance of the existing turf areas in the park from receipt of Notice to Proceed until Final Completion. Maintenance shall include mowing (turf shall not be allowed to grow longer than 4 inches).
B. Maintenance shall include reseeding, mowing, watering, weeding, fertilizing a minimum of two times in addition to the fertilizer incorporated by harrowing into the spread loam, and resetting and straightening of protective barriers. Turf area maintenance shall also include chemical treatments as required for fungus and/or pest control.
C. During the maintenance period, any decline in the condition of seeded areas shall require immediate action to identify potential problems and to undertake corrective measures.
D. Watering shall be done in a manner that will provide uniform coverage, prevent erosion due to application of excessive quantities over small areas, and prevent damage to the finished surface by the watering equipment.
1. The Contractor shall provide all labor and arrange for all watering necessary to establish an acceptable turfgrass stand. In the absence of adequate rainfall, watering shall be performed daily or as often as necessary to maintain moist soil to a depth of at least 2 inches for seeded areas. Begin watering immediately after seeding.
2. Watering shall be done in a manner that will provide uniform coverage, prevent erosion due to application of excessive quantities over small areas, and prevent damage to the finished surface by the watering equipment. The Contractor shall furnish sufficient watering equipment to apply water to the required soil depths each 8-hour period.
