Turf Maintenance. Overseeding
3.6.1 Turf areas designated for over-seeding will be indicated in the Frequency Schedule. Authority will provide specific dates and times for the over-seeding schedule based on the use of each facility.
3.6.2 Contractor shall begin lowering the height of the turf during the scheduled weekly mowing approximately three weeks before the final cut. One week before the final cut, Contractor will reduce irrigation to the minimum in the turf areas. Contractor shall mow turf to a height of one-half inch (1/2”) and mower blades shall not be allowed to disturb the soil.
3.6.3 All grass clippings generated from this process will be vacuumed, swept or raked after each cut.
3.6.4 A light irrigation syringe cycle will be applied before the final cut to keep the dust levels to a minimum (per Coachella Valley Association of Governments guidelines).
3.6.5 Actual dates for the final mowing will be determined by Authority. Mowing activities may vary due scheduled activities, condition of turf, and the actual mowing height needed to ensure seed-to-soil contact. Should Contractor fail to complete mowing or renovations during weekdays, Contractor shall adjust the schedule to work on Saturdays at no additional cost to Authority. Advance permission to perform work on Saturdays is required.
3.6.6 The Authority may supply grass seed. However, the Authority may request that Contractor supply Authority specified grass seed, and be reimbursed at the cost of material plus an allowable mark-up of fifteen percent (15%). The application rate for the seed shall be no less than ten (10) pounds per 1,000 square feet. The Contractor shall also spot seed and mulch as necessary, areas after germination to ensure a well-covered rye stand, at no additional labor cost as directed by the Authority. The Contractor is to verify and confirm quantity of seed bags with Authority personnel prior to installation and after seeding task is complete.
Turf Maintenance. MOWING
a. Contractor shall maintain the lawn at an average height of three (3) inches. Mowing shall commence no later than ten (10) days after notification by the T.M.M., or their representative. Mowing will be performed weekly, approximately twenty-eight (28) times per year.
b. Contractor shall perform all edging and/or trimming adjacent to fences, sidewalks, roads and flowerbeds concurrently with the first mowing of the season, and as necessary thereafter. This shall include weeding as necessary to maintain a neat, orderly appearance.
c. Contractor shall remove and dispose of all trash, debris and related material in all areas maintained throughout the duration of this Contract. No cuttings shall be blown onto the walks or pavements. MULCHING
a. Contractor shall rake, and remove all trash, weeds, and add or remove mulch to a minimum depth of no less than two (2) inches, at all mulched areas maintained. This work shall be performed within thirty (30) days after notification by the T.M.M., or their representative. Mulching will be performed four (4) times per year to maintain a visually appealing appearance throughout the contract.
b. Contractor shall use a standard industry type of organic, hardwood mulch.
c. When mulching has been completed, the Contractor shall notify the TMM, or their representative, to set up an onsite inspection. This inspection will determine proper depth, material, and visual appearance has been obtained. The TMM will determine if the work is acceptable and approve payment.
d. If the TMM determines there are any areas that are unacceptable, the Contractor shall return and correct such areas at no additional cost to the Administration, no later than ten
Turf Maintenance. All turf grass shall be mowed on a weekly basis to maintain a neat appearance. All turf shall be fertilized following industry standards to maintain a consistent green appearance.
Turf Maintenance a. Trimming and Edging between Turf, Planter Beds and Sidewalks b. Blowing Sidewalks
Turf Maintenance. Maintain and establish turf by watering, fertilizing, weeding, mowing, trimming, replanting, and performing other operations as required to establish healthy, viable turf. Roll, regrade, and replant bare or eroded areas and remulch to produce a uniformly smooth turf. Provide materials and installation the same as those used in the original installation.
Turf Maintenance. (Performed according to frequency as indicated) When over seeding (spring and fall), use a mix of 70% fescue and 30% rye. This work is typically completed during March-April, and October-November. Perennial ryegrass is preferable for the highest quality turf. 10 to 20 pounds per 1000 square feet are recommended for golf and sports turf applications. Some surface preparation (scalping or light vertical mowing) of the warm-season turf will enhance over seeding establishment by promoting seed-to-soil contact.
Turf Maintenance. XXXXXX agrees that it shall, during the term of this Lease Agreement and any extension or renewal thereof, be responsible for turf maintenance in the grass areas both within and immediately adjacent to the Leased Premises (see Exhibit “A”). LESSOR shall be responsible for payment of all costs for maintenance.
Turf Maintenance. The Contractor shall perform the work in such a manner that grass clippings left on the lawn will readily decay thereby supporting the City position on recycling and use of landfills. Only under extreme conditions will the contractor be allowed and/or required to rake clippings for removal and only after permission or direction from the City representative has been received. All turf areas indicated shall receive no less than the following:
1. Mowing season will start approximately April 13th and end approximately November 15th. Mowing, trimming (weed whipping), blowing, and edging shall be performed on a weekly basis. The Departments must be notified by the contractor if the lawn maintenance schedule is altered in any way in any area.
2. The Departments must be notified immediately when the mowing schedule of any area is altered due to inclement weather. An alternate schedule must be provided by the contractor at the time of notification.
3. Mowing height blade shall be 2-1/2" - 3" for all general turf areas covered by these specifications and standards. Mower adjustment should be made and measured on a flat surface. No more than 1/3 of grass blade length may be cut at any mowing. Any debris (trash, litter, branches, bottles etc.) must be removed before mowing operations begin. At any time, frequency of mowing will be regulated by the same standards to provide the stated growth control. (The City can request the contractor to by- pass certain sites due to lack of growth.) When mowing operations are disrupted by inclement weather, Saturday mowing may be permitted upon approval by the City. In case of persistent inclement weather when the Contractor cannot perform any of their responsibilities during that week, they are to recalibrate their equipment and double cut each area during the second week. Notify the Department representative(s), prior to doing this.
4. All City buildings, tax reverted properties and lots, City Properties and DDA areas will be cut, edged, and trimmed to a residential landscape standard. *Due to the restricted sizes of some areas to be cut sit down riding mowers may not be appropriate*
5. Cutting shall be done in all areas so there are no clippings thrown. Clippings on the sidewalk, in flower/shrub beds, around trees, or in the street must be blown back up onto the grass once cutting, trimming, and edging have been completed.
6. In special circumstances if City deems fit, the Contractor will be required to pick up grass clippings at...
Turf Maintenance. The City shall be responsible for regular and routine turf maintenance, except for baseball/softball infields, according to its regular management plans as may be adjusted from time to time based on budget. In general, this includes:
1. Weekly mowing of all outfields and flat fields. The City shall typically mow all fields once each week at 2 ½ inches in height.
2. The City will maintain all outfield and flat field irrigation systems and perform all required repairs. Leagues shall not attempt to adjust irrigation clocks or turn them on or off.
Turf Maintenance. All turf areas will be mowed, edged, trimmed and blown one (1) time per cycle during the growing season, per the schedule above. Price per cycle to include litter and debris removal service on same day. If additional cycles are necessary during growing or non-growing seasons, the same services will be performed by the end of the next day following the request, at the per cycle rate proposed. Total Cost for Turf Maintenance: $ x 24 = Annual Cost: $
