Eligible Schools. Every elementary school shall be eligible to submit an application for an innovation plan. The Innovation Panel shall approve up to six schools for innovation plans, with the discretion to approve two additional schools based upon the quality of the applications. At least three schools approved for innovation plans shall be schools designated by the Illinois State Board of Education as Focus and Priority schools that do not contain special programs and are not scheduled to be converted to an Early Childhood center (in other words, Carlson, Conklin, Ellis, Washington, Kishwaukee, Lathrop, McIntosh, and Xxxxxx). At least three schools approved for innovation plans shall be schools not designated by the Illinois State Board of Education as Focus and Priority schools that do not contain special programs, not scheduled to close prior to the 2018-19 school year, and not scheduled to be converted to an Early
Eligible Schools. Schools eligible for provision of services must have fifty percent (50%) or more of their students eligible to receive free or reduced cost lunches. Schools with highest need (e.g., 100% free or reduced cost lunch) shall be targeted for services. CONTRACTOR shall document efforts to provide services in as many school districts as possible. CONTRACTOR shall also consider the level of support likely to be received from administrative staff and teachers when identifying 10 13 through 14 June 30, 20 15 16 18 19 20 9 of said Standard Agreement and shall be as follows:
