Emergencies; Natural Disasters. CONTRACTOR shall participate in periodic meetings with first responders and other community agencies to carryout the SAFETY, SECURITY, AND EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS PLAN (SSEP) of RCTA. The Draft SSEP is attached as Exhibit G. In the event of an emergency or natural disaster, CONTRACTOR shall make available, to the maximum extent possible, transportation and communications services and facilities to assist RCTA in ameliorating such incidents. To the extent RCTA requires CONTRACTOR to provide such emergency services and facilities; CONTRACTOR shall be relieved of the obligation to fulfill the duties and responsibilities to operate regularly scheduled REDWOOD COAST TRANSIT services herein above described. Further, CONTRACTOR shall be entitled to be paid reasonable compensation for providing such emergency services and facilities, provided however, that the amount of such compensation and time of its payment shall be mutually agreed upon by CONTRACTOR and RCTA following the conclusion of the emergency or disaster, or at such other time as they may mutually agree.

Emergencies; Natural Disasters. If an emergency or natural disaster occurs, the City, any agency, their employees, agents and contractors have first priority for access to the Public Right-of-Way. Public service utilities which have valid franchises granted by the City shall have secondary priority for access to the Public Right-of-Way. Metricom's right to access to the Public Right-of-Way shall be subordinate to the City, such agencies and franchisees and may be limited by the City during an emergency or natural disaster without liability to the City.

Any such use of the trolley vehicles for emergency response purposes must be pre-approved by the Office of Transportation of the CITY and said approval must be secured in writing. To the extent the CITY requires the CONTRACTOR to provide such emergency services, the CONTRACTOR shall be relieved of the obligation to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of operating the current or any future trolley operations which may be established herein. Further, the CONTRACTOR shall be entitled to be paid reasonable compensation for providing such emergency services and facilities, provided however, that the amount of such compensation and time of its payment shall be mutually agreed upon by the CONTRACTOR and the CITY prior to the conclusion of the emergency or disaster, or at such other time as they may mutually agree upon.

  • Emergency Services Leave 6.17.1 Subject to operational requirements, paid leave of absence shall be granted by the Employer to an Employee who is an active volunteer member of State Emergency Service, St Xxxx Ambulance Brigade, Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service, Xxxx Fire Brigades, Volunteer Marine Rescue Services Groups or FESA Units, in order to allow for attendances at emergencies as declared by the recognised authority.

  • Emergency Situations If the condition is an emergency, this will be communicated to the Contractor with the request that corrections are to be accomplished immediately. The Contractor shall respond to the notice in emergency situations within twenty-four hours. If the Contractor fails to respond within this time limit, the Owner may correct the defect and charge the Contractor for the Work. If it is determined the complaint is not the responsibility of the Contractor, the Contractor shall be promptly paid for the cost of the corrective work. The Contractor shall give notice in writing to the Owner when corrections have been completed.

  • Emergencies 10.3.1 In any emergency affecting the safety of persons or property, the Contractor shall act to prevent threatened damage, injury or loss. Any additional compensation or extension of time claimed by the Contractor on account of emergency work shall be determined as provided in Article 12 for Changes in the Work.

  • Emergency Services The parties recognize that in the event of a strike or lockout, situations may arise of an emergency nature. To this end, the Employer and the Union will agree to provide services of an emergency nature.
