Sick Leave Defined Sick Leave means the period of time an employee is permitted to be absent from work with full pay by virtue of being sick or disabled, exposed to contagious disease, or because of an accident for which compensation is not payable under the Workers' Compensation Act.
Overtime Defined All time worked before or after the regular work day, the regular work week or on a holiday, as specified herein, shall be considered overtime.
Overtime Definition Overtime shall be defined as being all hours worked in excess of the normal or standard work day, or in excess of the normal or standard work week. The overtime rate shall be one and one-half (1½) times the regular straight time hourly rate of pay. NOTE: Article 16.04 is applicable to full-time employees only.
Accrued 100% sick leave The use of sick leave under this subsection is at the employee's discretion.
Family Sick Leave An employee may use sick leave credits for family illness or injury only if the employee must provide direct care to an immediate family member. For purposes of family sick leave, “immediate family member” will mean the employee’s parent, spouse, or child, including step-child and xxxxxx child.
Paid Sick Leave For those jurisdictions that have passed or will pass legislation requiring Paid Sick Leave, Paid Sick Time will be billed back to Client at the straight-time bill rate for all hours taken by any Consultant assigned to Client. This section is not applicable until the effective date of such legislation has been reached.
Accumulated Sick Leave The Employer shall inform all employees at least once each year of the number of sick days accumulated and shall make the information available to an employee on request.
Annual Leave Loading During a period of annual leave an employee will receive a loading of 17.5 per cent calculated on the employee’s normal hourly rate of pay and the daily fares allowance if applicable. The loading will also apply to proportionate leave on lawful termination.
Extended Sick Leave When sick leave extends for more than 25 consecutive working days, the appointing authority shall initiate the following procedure:
Deductions from Sick Leave A deduction shall be made from accumulated sick leave of all normal working days (exclusive of holidays) absent for sick leave.
