Employee Assignments. 6.4.1 The District recognizes that its obligation is the needs and interests of students. However, the District also recognizes it is desirable to consider the interests and aspirations of its employees in the selection and assignment process as well. All employees shall be assigned on the basis of their professional qualifications and certification(s) in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington and regulations of the Department of Public Instruction. It is recognized that music, PE and library specialists provide unique instruction that is in addition to core classes, and every possible attempt will be made to fill those positions with qualified specialists.
