Employee Requested Test. The Hospital will require that the provider of drug and alcohol screens maintain samples with positive results for one (1) year. Where an employee requests a retest of any confirmed positive test, such retest will be at his or her own expense at a laboratory approved by the Hospital. Any employee who believes that his/her specimen was not collected in accordance with established procedures must report any deficiencies within one business day of the collection.

Employee Requested Test. 12 If a blood or confirmed urine test is positive, the Hospital will 13 instruct the laboratory to retain the blood or urine sample for a period of not less 14 than thirty (30) calendar days from the date the tests were complete for the 15 purposes of allowing the employee to conduct an independent test at his or her 16 own expense at a laboratory approved by the Hospital.
