Employees in Specific Positions. 1) A regular employee in a specific position shall continue to occupy a position in accordance with article 7-3.00 and shall be covered by the clauses of the agreement. He or she shall continue to accumulate active service for the purposes of acquiring tenure in accordance with clause 1-2.18 in relation to the position held. However, the employee shall be subject to the characteristics of the specific position he or she occupies with respect to articles 7-2.00 and 8-2.00.

  • Employees on Layoff A classified employee who receives an Employer Contribution, who has three (3) or more years of continuous service, and who has been permanently or seasonally laid off, remains eligible for an Employer Contribution and all other benefits provided under this Article for an extended benefit eligibility period of six (6) months from the date of layoff.
