Employees' Job Security. For the purpose of continuing to preserve work and earning opportunities of employees in the certified bargaining units represented by the Union, Jewel agrees that no work or services presently being performed by the employees in the certified collective bargaining units represented by the Union will be discontinued, subcontracted, transferred, leased, assigned, conveyed or farmed out in whole or in part to other carriers or persons during the life of this Agreement, where such action will result in the layoff of any persons comprised within the groups for whom the Agreements now provide a guaranteed full month's equivalent of regular straight time work or pay.

Em­ ployer further agrees that before discontinuing any food manufacturing department, Employer will first secure the Union’s consent to such termination. The Employer agrees that all full-time employees on the Permanent Seniority Rosters as of June 30, 1973 shall be guaranteed a full month’s equivalent in regular straight-time work or pay in any month in which they work one (1) day or more, effective July 1, 1973 through March 31, 1976.   • Employees Not to Benefit Texas Transportation Commission policy mandates that employees of the Texas Department of Transportation shall not accept any benefit, gift or favor from any person doing business with or who reasonably speaking may do business with the State under this contract. The only exceptions allowed are ordinary business lunches and items that have received the advance written approval of the Executive Director of the Texas Department of Transportation.

  • Employees on Layoff A classified employee who receives an Employer Contribution, who has three (3) or more years of continuous service, and who has been permanently or seasonally laid off, remains eligible for an Employer Contribution and all other benefits provided under this Article for an extended benefit eligibility period of six (6) months from the date of layoff.

  • Cyclic Employment Leave Leave without pay will be granted to cyclic year employees during their off season.

  • Employee’s Own Illness The start of a leave for the employee's own serious health condition shall begin on the date requested by the employee or designated by Management.

  • Government and Service Employees' Union The leave shall be for a period of three years and shall be renewed upon request.

  • Employees on Leave Unit members who are granted Sick Leave Bank Days shall be considered to be in regular paid status during such leave.

  • Employee's Personnel File A copy of formal discipline report to be entered on an employee's file will be given to the employee. The employee will be required to sign management's copy.
