Common use of Employment Abandoned Clause in Contracts

Employment Abandoned. ‌ Any employee who fails to report for work and does not notify his/her Director of Care / Manager of Care supervisor within two workdays, and who cannot give an acceptable reason for his/her absence, shall be considered as having abandoned his/her position. An employee shall be afforded the opportunity to rebut such presumption and demonstrate that there was an acceptable reason for not having informed the Employer.
