Enrolled Nurse Level. 1
2.1.1 An employee appointed to this level shall perform work above the level of skills of an Assistant Nurse and shall hold a current enrolled nurse certification with Queensland Nursing Council.
2.1.2 An employee at this level shall : Have obtained a relevant certification from the Queensland Nursing Council. Have obtained an Enrolled Nurse Diploma but has less than one year experience in the age care industry shall be classified at pay point 2. Works under Supervision. Exercise discretion and decision making/responsibility within their level of skill and training. Provide on the job and in service training as directed. Demonstrate the effective application of standards required in the health care sector.
2.1.3 Indicative tasks/skills of this level, in addition to Assistant Nurse Level 3, may include but not limited to: Input into formulation and evaluation of the care plan. Input into orientation of staff. Undertakes procedures in scope of practice. Monitor xxxxx xxxxx and report changes. Support lower level staff. Deliver nursing care under Supervision.
Enrolled Nurse Level. 1 (EN1)
(a) EN1 applies to Enrolled Nurses who do not hold an NMBA approved qualification in administration of medicines.
(b) This level also applies to nurses formerly known as Mothercraft Nurses who are registered with the NMBA as ENs with notation, and to those who, while not registered as nurses, perform similar work with comparable underpinning education. Such nurses will be paid at the nearest (higher) pay point in the EN1 range to their current Mothercraft Nurse rate of pay, unless they are already paid above the maximum EN1 rate of pay, in which case they will retain their current rate of pay, adjusted only by annual pay increases applying under this Agreement.
