Orientation of Staff. In the formal program provided by the District for the orientation of new employees, there shall be an opportunity for participation by Association representatives. The names of all employees, their building, grade, and subject assignments shall be provided to the Association as soon as possible each fall.
Orientation of Staff. The Board and the Union recognize the need to properly orient new staff members to the unique requirements of the Westport school system. Therefore, it is agreed that the Union shall participate in the orientation of new staff, at least to the following extent:
1. In the formal program provided by the system for the orientation of staff there shall be no more than twenty (20) minutes for participation of Union representatives.
2. The names of all staff members and their buildings, grades and subject areas shall be provided to the Union no later than September 30th annually.
3. Staff members new to the district may be required to participate in orientation sessions (including curriculum training), not to exceed three days during the first year of employment.
Orientation of Staff. The Association shall have the opportunity to address new staff at a meeting at any regular District orientation meeting prior to the beginning of the school year.
Orientation of Staff. At the first annual meeting of all certificated Employees prior to the opening of school for students, the Superintendent shall provide time for the President of the Association to address the certificated Employees. The Superintendent shall include information of this meeting in his/her notification to Employees.
Orientation of Staff. At the annual meeting of all members held in conjunction with the opening of school for students, the President of the Association or his/her designee shall have equal time to address the members. In the program provided by the District for the orientation of new members, there shall be adequate opportunity for participation by Association representatives. The names of all members, their building, grade and subject assignments shall be provided to the Association upon request.
Orientation of Staff. At both the meetings for all the staff new to the District and the all staff meeting prior to the opening of school, the President of the Association, or the designee of the President, shall have the opportunity to speak to those assembled. The Employer shall provide the Association a list of all employees new to the district by the second student attendance day of the school year. The Employer shall provide the Association a list of all employees, their buildings and assignments by October 31st. If employees are hired at such a time when they are not able to be present prior to the opening of school, the President of the Association, or the designee of the President, shall have the opportunity to meet with them.

At both the meetings for all the staff new to the District and the all staff meeting prior to the opening of school, the President of the Association, or the designee of the President, shall have the opportunity to speak to those assembled for at least 30 minutes. The Employer shall provide the Association a list of all employees new to the district by the second student attendance day of the school year. The Employer shall provide the Association a list of all employees, their buildings and assignments by October 31st. If employees are hired after the school year begins, the President of the Association, or the designee of the President, shall be given the employee’s name and assignment and have the opportunity to meet with them for at least thirty minutes during the work day.
Orientation of Staff. If the Employer conducts a formal or annual orientation for new or returning staff, the Association shall have an adequate opportunity for participation. In any event, the Association shall be provided an adequate opportunity during the first week of the scheduled regular work year to communicate Association programs and concerns to members of the bargaining unit.
Orientation of Staff. The Board and the Association recognize the need to properly orient new staff members to the unique requirements of the Jamestown School District. Therefore, it is agreed that the Association shall participate in the orientation of new staff.
Orientation of Staff. 29.1 At the annual meeting of all new employees prior to the opening of school for students, the President of the association, or designee, and the Superintendent or Board Chairperson will each be given time to address the employees.
29.2 The first day of orientation activities for new employees will be planned and implemented mutually by the Association and District, and this day will be required of new employees as part of their contract.
29.3 The President of the Association and the Superintendent will plan school visitations for the purpose of addressing the employees.
