Common use of Entitlements Clause in Contracts

Entitlements. Every employee (a) who becomes the parent of a child; and (b) who has completed twelve (12) consecutive months of employment; and (c) who submits to the Co-operative an application in writing for parental leave where possible at least four (4) weeks before the day specified in the application as the day on which the employee intends to commence the leave; is entitled to, and shall be granted parental leave without pay from the Co-operative, consisting of a continuous period of up sixty-three (63) weeks.
