Entry into force - 1. The Contracting States shall notify each other in writing, through diplomatic channels, of the completion of the procedures required by the respective laws for the entry into force of this Agreement.
Entry into force - 1. This Convention shall be ratified and the instruments of ratification shall be exchanged as soon as possible.

Entry into force - 1. Each Contracting State shall notify to the other the completion of the procedure required as far as it is concerned for the bringing into force of this Agreement. This Agreement shall enter into force on the first day of the following month when the latter of those notifications has been received.
Entry into force - 1. Each of the Contracting States shall notify the other the completion of the procedures requires by its law for the bringing into force of this Agreement. This Agreement shall enter into force on the date of the later of these notifications and shall thereupon have effect :
(a) in India, in respect of income arising in any fiscal year beginning on or after the first day of April, 1994;
(b) in Singapore, in respect of income arising in any fiscal year beginning on or after the first day of January, 1994.

This Convention shall enter into force on the first day of the second month following the date of reception of the later of these notifications and shall thereupon have effect :
(a) in India ;
(i) in respect of income arising in any fiscal year beginning on or after the first day of April following the calendar year in which the Convention enters into force ;
(ii) in respect of capital which is held on the last day of any fiscal year beginning on or after the first day of April following the calendar year in which the Convention enters into force ;

(a) in India, in respect of income arising in any fiscal year beginning on or after the first day of April next following the calendar year in which the latter of the notifications is given;
(b) in the Sultanate of Oman, in respect of income arising on or after the first day of January in the calendar year immediately following that in which the latter of the notifications is given.
